Formula One: Refueling to Be Reintroduced in 2017
Formula One's governing world body the FIA has voted to reintroduce refueling from the 2017 season, it said on Friday.
In a number of measures aimed at improving the much-criticized F1 show, the FIA will also aim to make cars appear more aggressive while going faster.
Teams will firstly be allowed a free choice of two dry compound tires from next season, before a raft of introductions for 2017.
Aerodynamic evolution, wider tires and a reduction in car weight will be introduced in an effort to reduce lap times by 5-6 seconds.
Refueling will be allowed while higher-revving engines aimed at producing more noise will be introduced.
The FIA also wants chassis to be redesigned to look more aggressive.
