Aoun, Bassil Press for Demands and Issue Fresh Warnings

Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun said Thursday that he would take more escalatory measures if needed but stressed that he would give dialogue a chance amid fresh warnings by his son-in-law Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil.
“We will resort to escalation if needed, but we back dialogue,” Aoun was quoted as telling reporters at his residence in Rabieh.
“We won't allow our Christian and patriotic rights to be violated,” he warned in a chat with the reporters.
Aoun spoke a day after he mobilized his supporters to hold street protests against what he terms as the violation of the rights of Christians and Defense Minister Samir Moqbel's decision to extend the terms of top three military officers.
FPM members held motorized protests and later gathered in downtown Beirut's Martyrs Square.
The FPM has accused Prime Minister Tammam Salam of infringing on the rights of the Christian president in his absence.
The movement's ministers want to amend the cabinet's working mechanism to have a say on its agenda. They also reject the extension of the terms of security and military officials, calling for the appointment of new ones.
But they failed to pressure Salam during Thursday's cabinet session, which was not able to take any decision.
Bassil, who is one of two ministers representing the FPM, said “by remaining silent to the defense minister's move, the government made a violation.”
“No decision can be taken by the cabinet without consensus in the absence of a president,” Bassil said at a press conference he held in Bustros Palace.
“There was a disregard to our popular representation during today's cabinet session, and a disregard to our popular movement,” he said, adding “this is an insult to us, to all those who took to the streets and to all those who will resort to the streets in the coming days.”
“We will not allow to be marginalized,” he stressed, warning “there would be a bigger explosion outside the cabinet.”

The mareedman called for massive demobstrations. But it didn't happen. The demonstration in the street was the biggest flop and biggest fiasco and shame....they were about 1500 people...ya 3ayb el shuum...at least they should have been 50 000 not to say 100 000.
I have been repeating that there are less and less Christians following a mareedman who is a dog to Ebola.

Your actual physical size is "classified" and not published because unfortunately there is a requirement for a minister to be above 140 cm in height.

Then demands dialogue, the purpose of which is to convince people to accept his maximalist demands and when they refuse, then he blames everyone but himself.
Who in a pluralist system can expect to get anything done with one sided maximalist demands?? Lebanon is about the art of the deal, compromise, give and take. This guy is all about taking, nothing about giving anything back.

FPM succeeded in paralyzingly everything, presidency, parliament and now cabinet.
By doing so Aoun's family (Roukoz excluded) annihilates Christians.
I would have agreed with Cloun Bassil : "there was disregard to our ....popularity" if he didn't skip the word HA
The size you're talking about mr Cloun would have been0.001 if it is not for HA's illegal militia.
In no way the size you're mentioning is due to Christian popularity.
By the way geddo is claiming the presidency pretending he is Maronite while he is attacking Maronite Batrack.
However we want a president with honesty and clean hands. This does not apply to AOUN.

It's the weekend again, the Naharnet Mod Team (NMT) has gone to bed and looks like not waking up any time before Monday especially given the fact that tomorrow Saturday 15 is a public holiday. In the best of scenarios, the NMT is not doing its job as should be, rather depending on an automated response system that is now being hugely abused by M8 trolls who are massively thumbing themselves up and likewise thumbing us down. The worst part however is this, the M8 trolls are reporting our posts massively, triggering the system's auto delete. So here we are, with M14 posts, that contain ZERO insults, ZERO derogation but harsh criticism of their liar leader Aoun, unlike their many trolls appearing toe insult and derail, the NMT keeps to its slumber. You people ought to be ashamed of yourselves, you're not worth your salaries, either you do your job or quit.

Two of my posts have been deleted in this thread, they contain as usual no insult of any kind, just being very critical of the Claoun, so you can see what reporting our post does, and the NMT is still sleeping, M8 has invaded their forum and they know zilch of it either, if I was the owners of Naharnet, I'd fire them from their job.
