1 Killed, 1 Wounded as Shiyyah Dispute Erupts into Gunfire
One person was killed and another was wounded when a personal dispute escalated into a shooting in the Beirut southern suburb of Shiyyah, state-run National News Agency reported.
“Lebanese citizen H. A. D., 51, was killed and Lebanese national H. H. was wounded when a dispute over a motorcycle escalated into gunfire that targeted a cafe in Shiyyah's al-Masbagha Street,” NNA said.
Security forces intervened and pursued the shooters, the agency added.
A video circulated on social media shows scenes of heavy gunfire, panic and screaming women in the neighborhood prior to the arrival of the army.
