Hariri Defends Govt. Productivity, Says Sunnis 'Not Frustrated'

W460

Prime Minister Saad Hariri defended his government on Wednesday in the face of criticism from several MPs, as he denied claims that the Sunni community in Lebanon is “frustrated.”

“I cannot accept the claim that this government is not productive because it is the most productive government, despite the fact that it was formed less than a year ago,” said Hariri after the end of parliamentary debate sessions on the 2017 state budget.

“The government approved an electoral law, a new wage scale, diplomatic and judicial appointments, a socio-economic council and today a state budget,” Hariri explained.

He noted that since its formation, the government has been exerting efforts to “confront the repercussions of the Syrian refugee crisis and to solve the electricity problem and the country's problems.”

Responding to criticism from opposition lawmakers, Hariri lamented that “some are acting as if only today they discovered our difficult financial situation, the refugee crisis, the electricity problem and the absence of yearly final accounts.”

“You cannot take part in previous governments and then discover all these problems and their 'easy solutions' when you don't take part in the new government,” the premier added, addressing some opposition MPs.

Hitting back at MPs who spoke of Sunni “frustration,” Hariri stressed that the Sunni community in Lebanon is “not frustrated.”

“I'm responsible for my words. Perhaps some colleagues are frustrated but I call on them not to project their frustration on the Lebanese or on an essential and founding religious community in this country,” Hariri added.

“Those who were not frustrated by the assassination of Rafik Hariri cannot be frustrated by anything! The Lebanese were not frustrated by the assassination of the martyr premier, they rebelled, achieved and carried on,” the PM said.

Poor you, frustrated sunnis.
More like lost kittens.

You lost your revolution in Syria, and lost your caliphate dreams.
Now you are called frustrated?

Be glad you have Hariri to set you straight, otherwise you would all be sharing the fate of the salafis in Syria.

You are much welcome to try little kitty.
We took down millions of your kind in Syria, what makes you think you can do much in Lebanon?

Thumb Mystic 19 October 2017, 00:32

Sure Russia came to help Assad, only Russia and Iran came to Assads direct aid.

Now compare that to all the nations that were backing the Salafi rebels or the Sunni rage you called it.

We won no matter what way you put it Russia Iran or Iraqis doesn't matter Assad is still here, so what do you want to do now in Lebanon?

You are doing well crying about it, so i guess that will be the thing you continue to do until you try a new revolution that we will destroy.

As I said with billions and billions in aid but the fools forgot to send them surface to air missiles that would have won the fight quickly. I know these things because I am so smart, That's what they call me at the 3asfourieh where I'm kept.

Isn't great when the shia iranians defend hariri? So the achievement today is his corrupt government approved a state budget for fiscal year 2017 which is about to end;)! Basically it rubber stamped every corrupt transaction and waste that had occurred from the beginning of the year.

@Warrior:
You are so right! I also found it very strange from Ebola followers to defend Hariri !!! In this government they have one common interest : fill their pockets.
