Lebanon’s post operator, LibanPost, has been “excelling in providing services that go beyond traditional mail delivery; from facilitating government-related services to bringing the Post office to customers’ doorsteps, LibanPost has set the benchmark high in facilitating people’s lives and is assiduously looking for new approaches to incorporate new services and make existing ones easier to use and access,” LibanPost has said in a press release.

“Up until today, LibanPost has proven itself to be an esteemed recourse service to that of public authorities, procuring over 70 governmental services with 12 different ministries, with over 2 million governmental formalities per year,” LibanPost added.

As part of wider efforts to promote LibanPost’s “progressive” array of services, the institution “gradually yet successfully introduced renewal services and most recently, and through appointment over other limited public institutions, that of car plates as per the new legislation,” it said.

Pioneered by LibanPost, these services came as part of procuring a flexible platform to expedite the process of residency renewal.

By the same token, the General Directorate of General Security has appointed LibanPost to facilitate the renewal of residency for Arab and foreign nationals, as of 05/03/2018. More so, it has also been made possible to receive the residencies provided directly by the GDGS delivered by LibanPost to the customer’s doorsteps.

Residencies renewal is available throughout any of the 100 LibanPost Offices spread across Lebanon, be it in stores, malls and agencies, supermarkets and even fuel stations with extended opening hours, 7 days a week.

“This service is also available from the comfort of the customers’ home/office by calling 1577 and LibanPost will handle the whole renewal operation and deliver it back to their doorstep,” LibanPost said.

This service entails a range of new approaches -- utilizing technologies and accessibility -- to deliver “a service that adds value to LibanPost’s communications strategy, whilst keeping its reputation as a leading mail distributor relevant,” the post operator added.

“Since its inception in 1998, and through its proven ability to create hubs of essential services that are one-stop shops for customers, LibanPost’s organizational infrastructure not only make it a pioneer in the industry but also an innovator in the delivery service sector; LibanPost goes beyond express mail services to unavoidably meet customers’ evolving needs in a way where they’re building a Post Office network not just for today, but for tomorrow too,” LibanPost said.
