Glowing Objects in Lebanon’s Sky Linked to Russian Missile Test
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةRussia’s News Agency Novosti assured Friday that the glowing object that appeared in the sky and witnessed by a number of Middle Eastern countries Thursday was the result of Russia’s inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) test.
A mysterious flying and shining object swirling around appeared in the sky and was witnessed in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Armenia, Cyprus and Israel, sparking havoc and astonishment among residents. The object gave off light and was followed by a smoke trail before it disappeared.
Novosti quoted the Defense Ministry in Moscow, which confirmed that a missile was test-fired from the Astrakhan region in central Russia, reports said.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry, crews belonging to the army's strategic missile division successfully test-fired a ballistic missile at 9:39 pm, Moscow time. A video shot in the area showed parts of the missile falling, reports added.
In Lebanon media outlets raced to find an explanation for the spectacle to calm residents and dismiss fear, LBCI quoted astronomical sources that said “according to the scientific explanation, the phenomenon of the glowing objects resulted from large meteorites.”
OTV station reported that glowing objects were not only sighted above the Lebanese-Israeli border but also above Turkish-Syrian border.

This happened exactly as it had been predicted by Dr. Samir Geageastradamus from his underground command and control center at Yarze 14 years ago.

Come on, it's only missile test.Perhaps, American or Russian defense people were spying. Don't panic. there is no ET coming.

haaa haaa and we had all these experts last night tellig us its falling stars , they gave us their BS expert discriptions and were all hurrying to speak on TV , when infact they all lied and gave us false statements.

Not a good move by Russia at all. Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Armenia, Cyprus and Israel are listed and do you think Russia would like if any of these countries sent a inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM)over Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, etc. Don't think so! It's obviously a sign of strength that indirectly supports the Assad butchers. And way? Because the Russians don't want to lose one of their biggest arms clients. What a sick world!

Israel has 100-200 NUKES. If the Arab dictators head of states who are American (Israeli) puppets have ANY DIGNITY, they would have ripped the NPT into pieces.

The thing is, its not obligatory that they will lose an ally if Assad s tepped down.
Only if they continue supporting him, the next regime, or say the people in Syria who will democratly elect, wont elect a "russian friendly" regime...
Syria as a democracy could still by weapons from Russia. Syria as a democracy will be richer than it is today, for sure.

@bigsami:
Russia did not send the missile over middle-eastern cities. It went very high up in their sky, and because it was already dark in our region, we were able to see it.

well at least Assads regime is predictable, what would those so called free syrian army terrorists do once they are in power? no one knows. As Assads man kill the anti-gov individuals and families so do the free syrian army the difference is the news dont want to show both sides of the story, and why? because its more work for them if US attacks more money more coverage, if Assads regime wins single handed it will be over too soon for them

I find it funny how everyone panicked and thought it was a spaceship or a meteor in Lebanon and then Russia says a few days later, "Oh, sorry, we were just checking something."
But more seriously, the Cold War didn't end yet. At least not fully.
