Justin Trudeau will become the first Canadian prime minister to march in Toronto's Pride parade this summer, organizers said.

The July 3 event -- which in previous years has drawn some 100,000 participants and spectators -- is a highlight of one of the world's largest gay pride festivals.

Tommy Hilfiger Launches Clothing Line for Disabled Children

American designer Tommy Hilfiger has launched a line of clothing for children with disabilities, a collaboration that started after a mother couldn't find jeans for her son who wears leg braces.

The 22 pieces, which include jeans, khakis, dresses and button-up shirts, look exactly the same as those on the pre-existing TH Kids line and are also priced the same, Tommy Hilfiger said in a statement posted on its website Tuesday.

Italy's Castle Farewell to Literary Giant Umberto Eco

Hundreds of mourners flocked to Milan's Sforza Castle Tuesday to pay their respects to Italian literary giant Umberto Eco, the intellectual phenomenon behind the best-selling "The Name of the Rose".

Fans gathered outside the writer's home in the north Italian city applauded as Eco's coffin, laden with white roses, was carried to the imposing 15th century citadel and laid in state in a courtyard, under a presidential guard.

Shelter for 120 Gay Refugees to Open in Berlin

Germany will on Tuesday open a shelter for homosexual refugees with space for more than 120 people, the association behind the project said.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Marcel de Groot, who runs the Schwulenberatung advisory center which is responsible for the project, said the Berlin shelter will house gay, lesbian and transsexual migrants.
