Austrian police are looking for the owner of a large python — and the driver who found it may think twice before picking the next spot to stretch his legs.

Police said Monday they were called to the scene about 100 kilometers (60 miles) west of Vienna after the unidentified driver stumbled onto the 2.5-meter (nearly 10-foot) reptile packed in a jute sack in a forest near a highway.

Police: Man 'Armed' with Potato Arrested

Providence police have arrested a man who allegedly wielded a potato disguised as a gun during a robbery attempt last week.

WPRI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/QCQan7 ) 34-year-old Gary Deming of Cranston was arrested on robbery charges. Authorities say he pretended he had a gun when he demanded money from a convenience store and dry cleaner April 21.

Biker Looks for False Teeth on Busy Spain Highway

A motorcyclist brought traffic to a standstill on one of Madrid's busiest highways after he pulled over to look for his false teeth, which flew out of his mouth when he sneezed, according to local media reports.

Two municipal police officers approached the motorcyclist Saturday and ordered him to resume his journey for his own safety and that of other drivers on the capital's M-30 highway, Europa Press reported. It wasn't known if the man found his dentures.

A box of chocolates sent to footballer Giorgos Tzavellas sparked a police investigation on Friday in a bizarre reflection of the tension surrounding Saturday's Greek Cup final between bitter rivals Panathinaikos and PAOK.

Greek international Tzavellas, who plays for Thessaloniki side PAOK, called police after a taxi driver brought a box to his hotel room, saying it was a gift from "a lady supporter of PAOK."

Bali Hijack Alert Passenger 'Mistook Cockpit for Toilet'

An Australian passenger who sparked a hijack alert on a flight to Bali has denied being drunk and claimed he banged on the door of the cockpit after mistaking it for the toilet, Indonesian police said Saturday.

Matt Christopher Lockley also said he was in a state of depression during the Virgin Australia flight Friday to the resort island, as he was searching for his Indonesian wife with whom he had lost contact, they said.
