لبنان يتجنب فصله عن الكابل الدولي للانترنت وصحناوي يؤكد دفع المستحقات

أعلن وزير الاتصالات في حكومة تصريف الاعمال نقولا صحناوي أنه تم حل مشكلة الانترنت، عبر تحويل الاستحقاق المالي المتوجب على لبنان الى ادارة "الكونسورتيوم"، صباح الاحد.
وفي تغريدات على صفحته على "تويتر"، أنه واثر التعاون والتواصل بينه وبين وزير المال في حكومة تصريف الاعمال محمد الصفدي، تم حل المشكلة.
وأضاف أنه تم تحويل الدفعة عند الساعة 11 من صباح الاحد.
وكان لبنان أمام احتمال فصله عن الكابل الدولي للانترنت IMEWE، الاحد، بسبب عدم سداد المستحقات المتوجبة عليه.
من جانبها، نقلت صحيفة "الاخبار"، السبت عن مصادر في وزارة الاتصالات أن ادارة "الكونسورتيوم"، المالك لهذا الكابل انذرت لبنان بوجوب سداد نحو 1.6 مليون دولار مستحقة عليه في مهلة اقصاها 3 تشرين الثاني الجاري، والا فسيقوم مجلس ادارة الكونسورتيوم بالتصويت على مصادرة حصة لبنان من الكابل المذكور، وفق ما ينص عليه العقد.
وكشفت المصادر أن رئيس مجلس ادارة الكونسورتيوم ك. ب. تيواري وجه الانذار منذ مدة الى رئيس هيئة "اوجيرو" عبد المنعم يوسف، "الا ان الأخير انتظر حتى الجمعة، عشية عطلة نهاية الاسبوع، ليوجه كتابا الى وزير الاتصالات نقولا صحناوي يعلمه فيه بأنه لن يكون مسؤولا عمّا قد يحدث بعد انقضاء المهلة".
ولفتت الى ان دوائر الوزارة رأت في هذا الامر "عملا مقصودا يرمي الى افتعال ازمة في قطاع الاتصالات على خلفية الصراعات الدائرة في شأنه".
وأشارت "الاخبار" الى أن "وزارة الاتصالات قد استنفدت الاعتمادات المخصصة لسداد ما يستحق على لبنان في الكابل لعام 2013. وهي تحتاج الى سلفة يقررها مجلس الوزراء لدفع اي مبلغ يتجاوز هذه الاعتمادات".
وتابعت المصادر قولها أن صحناوي سارع الجمعة الى ابلاغ رئيس حكومة تصريف الاعمال نجيب ميقاتي "بالوقائع، فأجرى الاخير اتصالات محلية وخارجية لتفادي ازمة الانترنت المحدقة".
وكثّف صحناوي "اتصالاته بالكونسورتيوم لتوضيح الظروف التي حالت حتى الآن دون دفع المستحقات على لبنان، الا ان الاجواء لا تزال تدفع الى القلق".
الا أن صحيفة "المستقبل"، حملت وزارة الاتصالات مسؤولية ما يجري متهمة اياها بـ"التقاعس" عن سداد المستحقات المالية.
وأشارت الى أن هيئة "اوجيرو" أرسلت الى وزارة الاتصالات كتاباً في 21/5/2013 حول الموضوع من دون أن يلقى أي جواب من قبل المعنيين في الوزارة.
وتابعت أن يوسف ابلغ المسؤولين في الدولة بالامر وعلى رأسهم رئيس حكومة تصريف الاعمال نجيب ميقاتي. فضلاً عن الامانة العامة لرئاسة الجمهورية وهيئة التفتيش المركزي وديوان المحاسبة.

Let me answer this..... Yes, you are! I read both articles in the 2 newspapers quoted and online news portals. The Miqati/HA/Aoun cabinet in 2011 issued a decree making contact with IMEWE exclusive to the Minister of Telecom. This was part of your Minister's attempt to limit OGERO's responsibilities. OGERO has not attended IMEWE meetings for over a year now. OGERO informed the Ministry through a written statement dated 13/12/2011 that payments were overdue. Your esteemed minister ignored the statement/request. Now, go do some research and prove what is fact as non-fact, something you have been well paid to do.
