عون: الحيادي لا رأي له والتهديد بتأليف حكومة يعني أنها غير شرعية
Read this story in English

"Aoun: Threatening to Form Neutral Government Makes it Unconstitutional" The crazy old man of Lebanese politics is officially senile.

you know, I am kind of disappointed. I was expecting a comedy hour and got a comedy 5 minutes. but then again, i shouldn't be surprised that they only deliver 8% of what is expected of them.

yes the_roar, Aoun is Lebanon's only general, Assad its leader and Nasrallah its protector. Good luck in the next election.

Rafehh- I don't know about you but I love comedy shows and do wait for them with bated breath. I mean this is the same man that said that HA was placed on the terror list by the eu because they felt bad about what happened in the holocaust and succumbed to Israel's demands. If that isn't comedy, I don't know what is.

@the_roar
"Lol you know he is the one & only General & will forever be the one & only General of Lebanon".
He is definitely the only one (and probably will forever be the only one) that has deserted his soldiers for personal salvation after stating he will fight to the death. He was a closet phalangist who flipped on his own in Zahle before getting promoted and taking command of the 8th mechanised brigade. He then later used the army as his own personal militia to force the disbanding of the LF.
A true man of honour ..

Michel Iscariot doesn't make me laugh. He sold Lebanon to Bashar for far less than 30 silver coins.

well, he's still alive whilst Pierre Gemayel, Rafeek Hariri, are dead after doing far worse to Syria 20 years ago, it is because he asked his master to forgive him 4 going against him, and unlike you kitty, he's a good little puppy bringing newspaper & slippers 2 his Damascus owner.
so, go roar elsewhere and beat it!

Aoun is asking who is obstructing the cabinet formation? Oh My God
This guy is out of touch with reality.
And he is the leader of a political party and wants to become president. OMG this country is doomed

well we had a semblance of a country still in formation. Now we have nothing but a piece of land where no laws prevail but the law of the jungle.
will it ever come back??

Leb_roar: Why are you so hostile and offensive in your comments towards me and other intellectuals?

FT
I think all our corrupt politicians are to be faulted for obstructing the formation of a new government. Blaming M8 or M14 would be wrong but blaming both camps would be more appropriate. I am at a loss of understanding why our politicians are lacking the resolve to rescue the country.
In a civilized and democratic society and when the country is faced with tremendous challenges it is upon all politicians to rally and face the challenges facing the country
Sadly enough not in Lebanon

samy Cedre
I am doing also good thanks
samy sorry you're freezing. still in Beirut here but leaving Friday back to newport

southern, is it true u forget ur kids' names?

Aoun: Who else besides the president should be held responsible for constitutional violations?
Humm, maybe an interim prime minister* who said this while squatting in the presidential palace
"Madame, je suis Président et six Ministres"
*Hint the interim prime minister in question is also a senile coward

Seriously I think talk shows should have Michel Aoun debate Michel Aoun. I'm sure it could be a riveting pay per view TV event were sparks fly, then chairs and glasses of water fly.. then both Michel Aouns flee, it's their nature

as long there is difference political approach from different parties and they discuss the differences openly is a sign of healthy democracy
what is the worst is that no political debate happens and politics are decided by orders and politicians are not elected as its the case in some or all gulf countries
god bless lebanon

u mean instead of IQ tests? lol i guess he needs both. jajajaja

Please, leb_roar, stay away from insults. You are forcing me to start voting you down.

General Michel SULAIMAN 4 president ! ! ! He rocks.
General Michel Aoun/Iscariot 4 jail ! ! !

Flamethrower, is violence part of your nature? Are you pro capital punishment?

Flamethrower, have you ever embarked on a long journey by plane?

Carlos
Although I am sure he will flank all tests but in reality he does not need tests to run for president. He is senile and he proved it. Plus he is a traitor to Lebanon. As such he is disqualified from running

55% ? jajajajajajajajajaja
the latest propaganda.
yeah right. that's why M8 is preventing all elecciones in Lebanon, they r afraid of the M14 tsunami!

leb_roar: Do you work? Do you have a life? Do you have any other sources of income besides posting here? Why do you feel the need to reply to every poster? Do you like movies?

leb_roar: I ask you to refrain from insulting your fellow commenters.

@Prime - Again allow me to repeat myself:
These are the results of the 2009 Elections results.
The aggregate averages of voters in each district in Lebanon, shows that the 'losers' got 54.8% of the total votes (839,371 votes) and the 'winners' racked 45.2% of the votes (692,285 votes)- These results include Jumblatt as March 14. http://friday-lunch-club.blogspot.ca/2009/06/aah-that-popular-vote.html

ice-man
he is very zaky
so what's up my friend? how are you putting up with the lame dudes here on this site? namely the roar or the FT
your favorite pals...lol

zakblatt
I answered earlier about your 55%. sis you read it?

@cool - No I did not, but facts are facts & numbers don't lie.

It is a sad day for all of us the day Flamethrower is banned. He like you dear leb_roar is another voice of wisdom and a good teacher.

Do you advocate the introduction of high tech aerial drones by Law Enforcement Agencies for non military purposes?

zakblat
very true numbers don't lie
but whoever put these numbers lied or at best misled you. Double check your numbers from an unbiased source

as they say numbers can be manipulated and mislead the readers so beware my friend

leb_roar: Why you feel the need to use insults? Does that make you feel good?

Can you read Arabic?
http://qifanabki.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/feghali-report.pdf

may I remind you of the bus loads from out of the voting area that HA sent to voting booths illegally just to prop up Aoun's list??
please do take that into consideration

zakblatt
needless to say that most if not all elections in Lebanon are rigged by one group or another. The day we will have honest and fair elections would be the day we will have a true and functioning democracy

FT
I'd rather not get in to details and leave it at that. I sense we will not agree so leave it at that and let's remain cordial and respectful towards each other-.
Admittedly I agree with some of your other comments.
Thanks bro

zakblat
first I don't and have never voted in Lebanon. I visit Beirut but do not live here and have not lived here practically all my life (45yrs). I don't even have any more a Lebanese ID. I am in Beirut as I have now my parents house both are deceased now.
I respectfully disagree with you but respect your view

I am listening to Aoun on TV
OMG Please help Lebanon and Lebanese
he is lame senile...

The bore says...
"FT is most likely banned....... they see his replies as a threat to their agenda"
Bore, you live in a fantasy world, with no conception of reality.
You really should get a life, instead of posting 24/7 on a website that you disagree with.

M11er
you crazy or something? you want to send Aoun to school? he has an IQ of 1 therefore unable to understand.
he should rather go back to dair el salib where he was interned before his disastrous foray into politics
General Aoun, in 2009 when Saad Hariri won the elections, this is the position you had then, when even Sayed Hassan conceded defeat: http://www.asianews.it/news-en/With-the-outcome-already-decided,-voting-was-useless,-says-Aoun-3412.html
Now ya general, you still want to tell us that anything you object to is the only way out? Ma3leysh ya general, most people want change, and they'll welcome a Lebanon where they can decide without you or anyone else for that matter having to tell them what is right and what is wrong, the people know, and this time they want you and the others out of their lives, kirmel Allah ya general. Masalan tonight I feel like eating Vietnamese food, is it OK by you since it's Tuesday?

Thank God you're back @_.Flamethrower._ ! I thought you were banned forever. What was the topic of your seminar, "101 ways to convince and win people", or "how to win a debate without debating"?

After Taef, the total voting percentage of any political bloc doesn't mean squat, whether or not anyone agrees to a commentor's percentage numbers.
Seats in Parliament:
50% Christian: 64 seats
50% Muslim: 64 seats
Breakdown within Muslim:
Sunni 27 seats
Shiite 27 seats
Druze 8 seats
Alawite 2 seats
Bottom line on control of Parliament between March 14 versus March 8:
1. March 14 won the Christian vote, 37 Christian MP's for March 14, versus 31 Christian MP's for March 8.
2. The Sunni and Shiite MP's are equal in number, and cancel each other out.
3. The Druze, with 8 MP's, end up deciding which bloc controls Parliament. Last time they sided with M14, then switched sides after black shirt intimidation.

PP everyone including M8 and M14 MPs agree the electoral law is flawed so I'm not gonna get into that.
All I'm going to do is point out that if the total christian seats is 64 then M14 could not possibly have 37 christian seats vs 31 christian seats for M8! Just do the maths...

Sorry, that was a typo, I meant 33 Christian MP's for March 14, and 31 MP's for March 8.
By the way, no matter what the electoral law is, the number of Christian and Muslim MP's stay the same. It has everything to do with the Taef Accord, which settled the civil war. You may disagree with Taef, but that's what was agreed upon, and it will take a super majority of MP's to make a change (not gonna happen).

That is true PP it would not change the number of seats but it would change the distribution of seats. The Taef accord was the best they could have done at the time. I'm with you I don't think it'll change anytime soon

I am just sick and tired of MR. Aoun who is everything à la fois. From President and 6 ministres to a specialist of constitutional law specialist.

Aoun, you're unconstitutional. And if he doesn't know who is blocking formation of the cabinet, then he is indeed beyond senility. Send him away to ask his stupid questions to the mirror.

Aoun doesn't understand the whole political process even if it was explained to him in Persian, his new mother tongue. If nonpartisan ministers "have no opinions," then your opinions don't even matter. The Lebanese people have experienced your failed standards and are ready to move on. Can you retire in Karantina and give Lebanon a chance at peace?

From heart to Own, anyone else: Live by the Lebanese pact the one we made all in the Lebanon that we all want. Cancel the pact which you formed that made Lebanon divided. Hizbolah, streached this agreemeehnt/pact to kill syrians and threaten Lebanese and with your help (Oun) exile people that represent wide array of Lebanese in addition all the martyrs

Yeah ... how about being denied a vote in my district because the mukhtar had a bit of sway and personally hates me for my political affiliations? I apparently wasn't on the role ... for the first time ever ... you should've seen the smug smile on his face when about 40 of us were turned away. Wouldn't surprise me if that happened everywhere.

Moreover, he remarked that the March 8 camp is represented by 58 lawmakers at parliament, which grants it the greatest power in deciding the form of the new government...............
The Constitution does not mandate that the Cabinet be a miniature image of the Parliament. In fact the less the Cabinet looks like the Parliament the better job the Ministers will do. So what GMA is saying is unconstitutional.

Recount....
64 Christian MP's in Parliament
29 Christian MP's for March 8
35 Christian MP's for March 14
Any time a Persian Propagandist says that the deserter ex-general (Aoun) is the leader of the Christians in Lebanon, remind him that March 14 won the Christian vote for number of Christian members in Parliament. Scoreboard 35 to 29

Aoun : "nonpartisan ministers “have no opinions.”
Aoun, you have no lessons to teach about having "opinions". You change them all the time a la jumblatt. You accuse Bashar of killing Hariri. Bashar's dog jamil el sayyed butchered your supporters and now you side with him ?
I would rather not have an opinion any day than not have any ounce of honnor like you traitor !

Aoun : "Nonpartisan officials can act as advisers, but not as men of politics"
Please explain your understanding of politics. You limit your view of politics and that of your Ghanam to being pro Iran / Syria / Saudi / US.
Your ministers are incapable of addressing issues such as education, economy, growth, industry, tourism, ... THIS POLITICS. Not the crap that monopolises your political dialogue !
