قهوجي يشيد بعملية الجيش في جرود رأس بعلبك: انها ضربة نوعية واستباقية

أشاد قائد الجيش العماد جان قهوجي بالعملية "النوعية" التي نفّذتها وحدات الجيش في جرود رأس بعلبك، مشدداً على ان لبنان "لن يكون بيئة للارهاب" وان "معركتنا مع الارهاب مفتوحة".
وفي تصريح الى صحيفتي "السفير" و"المستقبل"، الجمعة، وصف قهوجي العملية في جرود رأس بعلبك، بأنها "انجاز جديد يُضاف إلى سجل العسكريين البواسل".
وتابع مشيراً الى انها "أتت في سياق توجيه ضربة استباقية ناجحة أسفرت عن سيطرة الجيش التامة على مرتفعَي صدر الجرش وحرف الجرش".
وصباح الخميس شنّ الجيش هجوما على المسلحين في جرود بلدة رأس بعلبك موقعا إصابات مباشرة في صفوفهم ما مكّنه من السيطرة على تلتين والتحكم بتحركاتهم في جرود عرسال التي هربوا إليها، في عملية وصفها بـ"السريعة" وسقط له فيها ثلاثة جرحى، بحسب بيان صادر عن قيادة الجيش.
وقال قائد الجيش ان عملية جرود رأس بعلبك "أثبت ان جيشنا قادر على تحقيق انتصارات وخوض معارك قلما تمكنت أقوى جيوش العالم من القيام بها، وها هو، بما توفر له من سلاح وبلحمه الحي، يخوض أشرس معركة ضد الإرهاب".
من هنا أكد قهوجي على جهوزية الجيش في مواجهة الاحتمالات كافة، مشدداً على انه "لن نترك الإرهاب التكفيري يهزمنا، ومعركتنا مفتوحة معه، ولبنان لن يسقط ما دام الجيش يتقدم بخطى واثقة ويقف بحزم للدفاع عنه ويقدم التضحيات تلو التضحيات".
واذ لفت الى ان "الجيش هو الضامن لاستقرار البلد ورد الخطر عنه"، أضاف "سبق وقلت لكل الناس إن لبنان لن يكون بيئة للإرهاب، والجيش لن يبقى الجيش الرادع فقط، بل السيف القاطع".

When good days come, they come in this shape and form. The Lebanese Army is our sole protector, the only guarantor of our security and peace. I have always maintained my trust in our army, today the army is showing its capabilities because now it is beginning to get the weapons and equipment it so crucially needs. Let the weapons continue to land and very soon our army will prove to everyone that Lebanon will stand as a leader in our region. We Lebanese want no war with anyone, but at the same time, if and when provoked, we should be able to respond and respond forcefully.
