اعترف الرئيس الالماني يواكيم غاوك اليوم الخميس ب"الابادة" الارمنية مشددا على "مسؤولية جزئية" لبلاده في ما حدث.
وقال خلال حفل ديني في برلين عشية الذكرى المئوية للمجازر التي ارتكبهاالاتراك بحق الارمن بين 1915 و 1917 "يجب علينا نحن الالمان القيام بعملنا من حيث الذاكرة" مشيراالى "مسؤولية جزئية او حتى تواطؤا محتملا في ابادة الارمن".

It only took 100 years, but finally nations are recognizing this atrocity. I hope that by doing so they have helped to prevent similar acts from occur the in the future.

It only took 100 years, but more and more nations are finally recognizing this atrocity for was it is: genocide. We can only hope that by doing so they are signalling that they will not stand by and let it happen again.
