The Special Tribunal for Lebanon made a public service announcement on Monday on the reveal of the fifth suspect linked to the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

"A new arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Hassan Habib Merhi, who is accused to have been involved in the 14 February 2005 attack in Beirut,” it said.

The STL's Prosecutor alleges that Merhi participated in the conspiracy to kill Hariri and 21 others, as well as in the attempted homicide of 226 persons.

The full account of the charges can be found on the Tribunal’s website.

“This message is part of a public advertisement campaign to inform the accused of his rights and to also invite the public to submit any information on the whereabouts of the accused to the Lebanese authorities,” it continued.

“The proceedings will be conducted according to the highest international standards. The STL Judges will convict an accused only if guilt is established beyond reasonable doubt,” it stressed.

The Tribunal’s President, Judge Sir David Baragwanath, reminds the accused of their right to participate in the proceedings. By participating, the accused can fully defend themselves against the charges and evidence presented against them.

“Other international arrest warrants have been issued for Mr. Salim Jamil Ayyash, Mr. Mustafa Amine Badreddine, Mr. Hussein Hassan Oneissi and Mr. Assad Hassan Sabra in their alleged role in the 14 February 2005 attack. The tentative date for the start of trial of the four accused is scheduled for 13 January 2014,” said the statement.

I read it "against filth suspect".

We needs free distribution of posters of the culprits in order to post them on every wall and light post of Beirut and its suburbs.

100% correct, aka filthy militia

when did we ever say that? first when i speak of m14 i speak of their leaders, knowing that most supporters are either manipulated or lied to.
second, we often saw their shameful actions, from serving tea and coffee to israeli troops, to signing a treaty that gives israel part of our oil resources in the sea. (before anyone denies here goes: http://english.al-akhbar.com/node/13139)

also, they lack any sort of program, all they do is constant attacks against HA, they have blocked the entire country over the question of the resistance arms and that only serves israel's interests.
as seen in the leaked conversations with US diplomats, it was geagea's idea to create a problem where there wasnt one before: http://friday-lunch-club.blogspot.com/2011/03/wikileaks-geagea-surest-way-to-get.html

for these reasons, and many other, i do not trust M14 to be patriotic, to me they are sold out traitors.

anonyme: you're not being serious here, i said when i speak of m14 i speak of their leaders, why do you turn it again saying i doubt the people's patriotism?
and sorry to say but you guys keep calling us iranians so dont say M14 dont doubt M8 people's patriotism.

slash long time no see. can't say i missed your comments but welcome back ;)
1- the tea boy was fatfat
2- slash insulting the messenger doesnt make the message less factual. we're speaking of international agreements which anyone can consult.
3- growth is not the only indicator, if you have growth with more borrowed money than you can pay pack, it's artificial and it's bound to blow back in your face.

anonyme: my mistake, thought you said i doubt. sorry.

slash: it's been since 2006 that m14's only program is to work against hezbollah, nothing else. m8 held a sit-in for many reasons, including the creation of the stl which was foreseeably being designed to be used as political tool and the unconstitutionality of the government which was refusing to hold new elections because they knew they would lose.

m8 guys are starting to notice the increased activities of the STL, as well as our judiciary following up on the Tripoli bombings, and as it is all showing that their masters are behind all these killings, they become more desperate trying to defend them :)
justice is coming, if not today, then tomorrow, but it will come, and all murderers will be judged.
unfortunately m followers have no patriotism when they do what they are doing.....

If a victory is a mass murder, yes....HA is unmatched!

24/7 lol. Only a bit in the afternoon and evening.

As of tomorrow, I'm flying to NY for 9 days. You won't see me for a while unless my European 4G works there.... But I don't think it will.

Happy eid to our Muslim brothers. Even the chias. :-)

First of all you and FT are naharnet 24/7, 2nd of all, Syria invaded Lebanon and Israel also invaded Lebanon, I would rather have neither in our land, but if I have to choose, then give me yahoud any day over any arab jarab nation. If the devil shows up to fight Ha and ASSad, I will side with el diablo.

we have a saying that comes from the Bible:

Ver la paja en el ojo ajeno y no ver la viga en el propio; he sees the straw in the stranger's eye but doesn't see the log in his own eye. or something like that in English. sorry 4 the poor translation.

You mean the Lebanese have a force to reckon with. Yes, a force that has caused nothing but death and destruction to Lebanon and the Lebanese. Tahya Soriya Roar

Dear Lebanese - I warn you not to be fooled by this Kangaroo court and anything supported by the Zionists. A reminder the Zionists wanted to expel all Christians from Lebanon in the 70s via Henry Kissinger and then again via Philip Habib and Murphy in the 80s and 90s. They all failed will always fail. Now they are trying to keep the Lebanese divided more particularly by keeping the Sunnis & Shia/Allawite sects against each other and the Maronites divided as they were during the mid-late 80s. This way they will maintain a grip on Lebanon's natural gas & oil resources aswell as the water. This is just part of the big agenda. Keep in mind Africa is very rich yet it's people are very poor & continue fighting each other.
