Nasrallah to Make Televised Speech Sunday by End of Suleiman's Term

Hizbullah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is expected to deliver a speech on Sunday that coincides with the end of President Michel Suleiman's tenure.

According to al-Liwaa newspaper published on Tuesday, Nasrallah will make a televised speech at 5:30 pm on the occasion of the Resistance and Liberation day that commemorates the Israeli army’s withdrawal from south Lebanon in May 2000.

The ceremony will be held in the southern town of Bint Jbeil at Moussa Abbas compound.

Parliament has so far failed to elect a new president over differences between the March 8 and 14 alliances.

There are fears that the vacuum in the country's top Christian post would affect Lebanon's power-sharing agreement under which the president should be a Maronite, the premier a Sunni and the speaker a Shiite.

Thumb general_puppet 20 May 2014, 09:28

Assad JR. disbanded "the golan heights resistance".... the Zionist have a guaranty land lease for 99 years on the Golan singed by Assad SR.

Thumb general_puppet 20 May 2014, 08:12

He will Promise that there are many more Glorious Victories on the horizon... and of course remind everyone that they should thank the militia for making Lebanon what it is today, Iran's southern Defense line.

Ah, thank God ya Sayed Hassan, speak all day this Sunday, I will be out of the house and all my TVs will be shut down. Before the year 2000, people like me would have given a bit of time to listen to you, but today in 2014, you are repeating only what we all know, that you are not a hero but a vilain, that you are far from honest and that you are certainly not Lebanese. You can say all you want of President Suleiman and you know well you have nothing on him. He leaves Baabda head high, he will shake hands with the people and will go home a proud and respected man. You Sir are still hiding underground, that alone says a lot about you, as opposed to a man of honor like Suleiman.

Thumb Abubakr 20 May 2014, 16:27

You have some good stances, but you're problem, is that you defame people who share your views, to get the approval of your enemies, you lose respect when you do that

Thumb Abubakr 20 May 2014, 16:28

mistake, opponents, and not enemies. my bad.

Missing georgeskyp 20 May 2014, 13:57

There was a time when this was true and an opinion shared by all the nation. But unfortunately for many reasons they've lost a very big part of the country. You see its not natural to have an armed militia representing one sect and outside the scope of the government. No matter how you see it, this needs to be addressed.

As a citizen, I vote my government in or out. Who does that with hizballah?

Whats your take?

Missing georgeskyp 20 May 2014, 14:16

Ok so where do we go from here?

The other side can claim that they too have been targeted by Hizb and/or their allies (of course you can discount that) but reality there was an organised campaign targeting March 14th politicians.

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 May 2014, 14:06

What achievement Southern : Please tell me what Hezbollah has built for Lebanon. Economically, Socially, Culturally. How does Hezbollah contribute to the prosperity of Lebanon ? By killing others ?

Missing georgeskyp 20 May 2014, 14:32

Hi Southern, however whats to stop a flare up between Iran and Israel thereby unleashing Hizb? Or perhaps a repeat of 2006?

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 May 2014, 14:34

@Roar : Syria's withdrawal is due to nothing other than popular uprising including AOUNIES.

Now tell me how HA liberated Lebanon :) They kicked Israel out :) ??? By force ? Was Israel begging for mercy ? Did they admit their defeat ?

I was on the ground the second day of the liberation. I did not see any Israeli casualties or anything else.

It was Israel who pulled out. Nothing else ! And HA has nothing to do with it ! You live in an illusion !

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 May 2014, 14:40

@Southern : security stability and automatic economic boost ?

Tell me how this works in Iran or Syria ! What a wonderful economic boost they have.

Economic "boost" as you call it doesn't happen magically. You need a plan and vision.

Hezbollah is incapable of such so please, keep your jokes for yourself as they are not even funny.

And security and stability can only come when your armed party of terrorists disarms. Until then, they give all the reasons in the world for people who are terrorized by Hezbollah to pick up arms to protect themselves !

You are a joke !

And the countries who are "lifting" restrictions are doing so thanks to the lobbying of ANTI-HEZBOLLAH politicians. Not because of the "Achievements" of HA ! Because the army is stronger than ever before and can protect citizens and tourists !

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 May 2014, 15:16

@Roar : I debate to debunk your lies.

If HA truly Liberated the south, please explain how :) What actions did they do to "force" Israel to flee and beg for mercy !

You are a joke you know that ?

Fact is, the biggest occupation in Lebanon was the Syrian Occupation and the biggest achievement in Liberating Lebanon was kicking Bashar out.

And this is a consequence of MILLIONS of Lebanese including AOUNIES demanding an end to Syria's criminal domination of Lebanon.

Now all you want is to bring them back ? You are the traitor and you are the cowards using force and blackmail to impose your views and goals because you are incapable of doing so otherwise !

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 May 2014, 15:59

You ignorant idiot. I was a Aounie until Aoun stopped being a Aounie himself.

Don't tell me who got beaten up by Bachar's dogs in Lebanon like Jamil el Sayyed which you worship today.

Aoun has lost his integrity and is a traitor to his own values and beliefs.

Fact is Aoun should have remained anti-Bashar / Hezbollah and has betrayed his own people and followers. Most of which have no respect for him today.

In fact, most of Aoun's close advisors no longer support him. Because Aoun is a LIE !

Now go play war in Syria you lying hypocrit !

Thumb FlameCatcher 20 May 2014, 17:10

About 18 politicians who got murdered by Hezbollah ! Including Gebran Tueni, Kassir, Hariri... please spare us your BS !

The only thing Bassil achieved in his life is marrying Aoun's daughter and making millions out of it !

Now explain why is it Aoun who "resisted" syrian occupation is now licking their BaaSses ?

Thumb Abubakr 20 May 2014, 15:31

Hezbollah Threatens Israel everyday, while Israel turns to the western and translates these threats to them, portraying that they are about to have their throats cut, only to serve with military and financial aid in billions of dollars, which eventually will lead them to the so called preemtive strike, and thats when we will wake up and see our middleeast has been taken away from the nile to the euphrates, Hezbollah is a partner at this.

Default-user-icon gragmel (Guest) 21 May 2014, 18:31

You should take your pills, it will help you. You know as well as everyone else that if HA does ever occupy Israel, they WILL cut their throats- men, women, and children. What would you do if you were Israel? Sit and wait?

Thumb Abubakr 20 May 2014, 15:35

Because Israel will claim, that if they do not do something, they will have their throats cut. You really have to penetrate the deception to know Israels intentions

Thumb thepatriot 20 May 2014, 15:58

Imagine Lebanon with no Hezbollah...we would have no Israeli threat, prosperity, economical growth, stability, tourism, investments... but nooooo... Roar, Southy and the likes of them still live under the illusion that we need the non resistance to not resist to nothing!
