Report: Hizbullah Training Iraqi Military Volunteers in Fight against IS

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

Hizbullah and Iran's Revolutionary Guards are cooperating in the training process of Iraqi Shiite volunteers, who are waging a war against the Islamic State in their country.

The Kuwaiti al-Rai newspaper reported on Thursday that Hizbullah is conveying its expertise to the Iraqi fighters to combat IS.

An Iraqi source told the newspaper that “the training has been fruitful.”

“We need more military training, which is still at its beginning and will not end as long as the dangers posed by the IS on Iraq, Lebanon and Syria are ongoing,” the source added.

Iraqi Shiite volunteers, who had been fighting in neighboring Syria, have been heading home to battle an offensive that has brought militants to near Baghdad.

Iraqi clerics had recently called for the formation of units to defend religious sites in Iraq after the IS group controlled roughly a third of Iraq and Syria, including several strategically important cities like Fallujah and Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria.

HA considers itself above any law, norm, or tradition. They want consensus on every item inside Lebanon but monopoly over their own actions that have so far proved catastrophic. On the other hand, you have the FPM calling for the government to deal with the Syrian regime on the hostages and security issues but condone HA actions for going behind our government's back and national concensus.

Michel aoun wants to refer to the people of liban to elect a president. Could someone ask him to refer to the lebanese people in a referendum and ask them if they want a resistance represented by the shias of hezbullah. I blame michel naim aoun for liban's predicaments.

This report is kind of old news. HA has been operating in Iraq for years now in addition to Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain. Nasrallah claims ISIS has a regional plan and the facts on the ground indicate he himself has also a regional plan. His party's presence and intervention in regional and foreign affairs discredits him and his party as defenders of lebanon and "resistors" of occupation.

what about the American airforce covering these soldiers (hizb) and hitting on the same terrorists (da3ichi wahabi salafists )??!!!!

Thumb _mowaten_ 04 September 2014, 17:41

the US is only bombing da3eshis when they try to advance towards kurdish oil fields. they showed thet could care less when it's about christians, yazidis and shias being massacred

Better than this even, I even heard they are also training Argentinian commandos planning to re-take the Falkland Islands back from the UK. Those guys are really good.

This is good - HA is doing the right thing...while noone is moving a finger to help the Christians who are being slaughtered, or the Yazidi nor the Shiia. So while these salafists criticize HA, at least FPM and HA are the only parties that directly intervene to help assaulted citizens. Thqnk you FPM, thank you HA - we are the majority behind you

Thank you Ali (Guest) for your warm comments. We knew all along the shias will stand with us and protect us just like they did in the civil war when we fought against the PLO.

Obviously now, the dead brain cell boy FT will claim all news are biased and only OTv and manner hold the truth of humanity.
The uncontrolled militia will keep interfering with other countries business under the orders of Iran until Lebanon is erased from the map.

Missing cedars 04 September 2014, 14:05

Yes we believe you because your internal sources from OTv and manar always holds the truth of the whole humanity. Remain brain dead until there is no such thing as Lebanon.

While historians have examined and battled dozens of reasons for the decline of the greatest empire the world had ever seen -Roman empire-; None of them argued that Military Overreach brought its end.
and History always repeats itself!

This is a non story, Hizbullah are mercenaries, a branch of the Iranian revolutionary guards and as such they will execute the orders they are given. This time it's training Iraqi military volunteers in fight against IS. Other times it could be training Iraqi military volunteers in fight against Serbian Orthodox Christians, or whatever else. Come to think of it that last one probably happened. We know that Lebanese Shiite Hizbullah volunteers were sent to Bosnia to fight the Christian Orthodox Serbians so it's not unlikely that Muslim Iraqi military volunteers or Chechen, Algerians, Saudis, Brits also went there to fight the Orthodox Serbian Christian infidels and someone had to train them, right?
