The United States delivered on Tuesday a shipment of military vehicles to Lebanon to aid the Lebanese army in its mission to combat terrorist threats, in particular along its eastern border.

The U.S. embassy announced via its account on Twitter that the U.S. “delivered dozens more brand new armored Humvees to protect the Lebanese army soldiers in the line of duty.”

The embassy considered the Humvees to be the “best armored vehicle on the market.”

It added that the U.S. assistance aims at delivering such an aid to the “brave soldiers of the Lebanese army.”

The U.S. recently stepped up its military assistance to Lebanon to boost the capabilities of the Lebanese army and security agencies capabilities in the war against terrorism.

The last shipment of ammunition as part of the U.S. military assistance program was on September 26.

Another two arms shipments were delivered on August 29 and September 6.

The arms deliveries come as several allies of Lebanon step up efforts to bolster its armed forces as the threat from jihadists in the region grows.

Typical. Always promoting a militia outside the rule of law.

What about the French ones?? Rumor has it that the French are still negotiating their commissions, while our soldiers are defending our borders from an invasion of Barbarosa and ilk with their bare hands so to speak!!

"Powerful" scrap from the U.S army landfills.

Thumb Mystic 27 January 2015, 16:03

U.S are very quick to provide the LAF, scrap from their dumpsters, but never real weaponry, such as drones or jets. That would be too much for Israel to handle.

Haleluja texas, old rusty howitzers from the Vietnam War times.

why doesn't hizbushaitan transfer his Iranian weapons to the army?

Default-user-icon mazen (Guest) 27 January 2015, 17:05

Anything, everything, and from wherever is welcome to keep the terrorists out of our country. Will also help to rip off those very deep pockets nourishing those thugs in Syria, Iraq, and now in Paris.

Flamey, you're so pathetic. Did you really say "why, is it allowed to?" Lmao. Let me ask you, is Iran "allowed" to smuggle rockets to Hezbollah? Legally no, but the US allows it anyway. So spare us the argument that Iran isn't "allowed" to smuggle arms to the LAF. Also, you guys keep failing to refute Texas' point that during the Syrian occupation, Iran could have armed the LAF anytime. "The LAF didn't ask for weapons" is the lamest response, you have to come up with something better than that. If what you said is true, you're basically contradicting your whole argument. Because this whole time the LAF was taking weapons from Uncle Sam, are you saying they only wanted weapons from the US and not Iran???

You can come up with all the lame Aouniyeh excuses you want, but everyone on this site, even the Hezbos, knows that Iran arms only Hezbollah.
