Health Minister Wael Abou Faour terminated on Friday the hospitalization contract of Hotel Dieu de France hospital for failing to admit a disabled woman.

He said: “It violated its contract for refusing to grant treatment to a patient who carried a disability card.”

Sources close to the minister told An Nahar daily on Saturday that the 27-year-old patient was refused treatment despite week-long negotiations between the Health Ministry and hospital administration.

They noted that contract between the Ministry and Hotel Dieu hospital is worth billions of pounds annually.

Ignoring the oath all legitimate physicians take, that alone is shameful.
