Sauber's legal dispute with Formula One driver Giedo van der Garde remains unresolved, with a further court hearing scheduled for Saturday.

The Supreme Court of the state of Victoria in Australia had ordered Sauber to honor the Dutch driver's contract this season despite having signed drivers Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr instead.

Sauber lost an appeal on Thursday and on Friday had to respond to a further action by van der Garde's lawyers, arguing the team had not complied fully. That hearing will continue Saturday.

Van der Garde was at the Australian Grand Prix circuit on Friday for a seat fitting but took no part in the practice sessions. Sauber skipped the opening session due to the dispute, but Ericsson and Nasr both participated in the second session.
