Raad Says Mustaqbal to be Held 'Accountable' through 'Law, Not Violence'

Head of Hizbullah's Loyalty to Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad on Monday clarified remarks voiced by him that were deemed as “threats” by al-Mustaqbal movement, noting that his party would resort to the judiciary to hold Mustaqbal's officials “accountable.”

“We clearly have the right to demand accountability for those who call themselves moderates in Lebanon while they are embracing, supporting and justifying the presence of the takfiris,” said Raad.

“We are serious about this and we are not criminals for them to go too far and think that we would use the sword and violence against them,” Raad noted.

“We are rather demanding that they be held accountable because they are conspiring against their country and society, and their accountability will be within the court of the state of law and institutions,” the lawmaker explained.

In a recent interview on al-Mayadeen TV, Raad had lashed out at Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi and al-Mustaqbal movement secretary-general Ahmed Hariri.

“The last person to talk about the statelet is the justice minister ... and Ahmed Hariri will be held accountable later because he is of a higher rank than Rifi,” Raad said.

But al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc hit back on Friday, describing the MP's remarks as “aggression on civil peace” and a reflection of “terrorism” proliferating in the Middle East because of the party's main backer Iran.

Raad did not hesitate to make verbal threats against the two officials at a time when Hizbullah members are accused of carrying out the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, said the Mustaqbal statement.

Five Hizbullah members have been charged with plotting Hariri's Feb. 2005 murder in a massive explosion at the Beirut seafront but have not been arrested. Their trial in absentia began in January 2014 and is ongoing.

The Mustaqbal bloc said Hizbullah would be held responsible for any harm inflicted on Ahmed Hariri and Rifi.

As if the Hezb never ever used or threatened to use violence to achieve political purposes.

Mr. Raad is a very interesting person. he hails from an organization that has literally broken every law, that has disregarded the very Lebanese constitution, that has flaunted every single legal mechanism of this land. Now Mr. Raad it seems wants to tell us that he will use legal means to gain redress against his political foes? Mr. Raad, since we are talking about it, who took us to wars and wars? Mr. Raad, who has killed Mr. Rafic Hariri and the rest of the M14 MPs and personalities and what was the aim? Maybe if you have it in you to answer us, then quite possibly we may believe one iota of your silly pranks.

Thumb justin 25 May 2015, 17:42

maybe he meant by law the military court;)

Thumb -phoenix1 26 May 2015, 14:11

Justin, these people will always maintain their threats as a means for dissuasion. They are just like their masters, our one-time ruthless occupiers, the Syrians. To me dear Justin, a Syrian is a Syrian, be he regime or other, they are all as filthy as the other. For one to follow in their footsteps means that they are not better. Hezbollah has been gently spoon-feeding us with the teaspoon and if we don't oblige, then they'll threaten as they did with Rafic Hariri. Raad can go and shove it up his.

-phoenix1 I believe Raad wanted to refer mustaqbal to the STL so that justice can be served.

ارتفع عدد قتلى ميليشيا حزب الله في القلمون اليوم فقط إلى 13 بينهم القيادي غسان فقيه, وأسر 7 عناصر آخرين.

This clown and anyone affiliated with Hezbollah should never say that they will resort to the "law". They do not believe in the rule of law, in the State, in state Institutions, in the government, in the army or the ISF or the Republic of Lebanon.

In the law there is the doctrine called "clean hands". Before one can come to court complaining that an opponent has acted with unclean hands, one's own hands must be clean first. Hezbollah's hands are filthy with sedition against the Lebanese people and their Republic.

Mostaqbal seems to own the Lebanese Laws alongside Saudi Arabia.

Thumb Mystic 25 May 2015, 19:48

Sadly because the Saudis sends a few ammo crates to the LAF, they seems to be controlling it's leadership and descisions. The Mostaqbali shackles are tied so tight on the LAF ankles that they can't move further.

Thumb Mystic 25 May 2015, 19:54

texas, if mostaqbal don't want the Resistance to intervene in Arsal and says it's the LAF job only, then how come they don't give the greenlight for the army to liberate Arsal from ISIS and Nusra?

Thumb Mystic 25 May 2015, 20:17

Arsal is Lebanese territory, this is exactly the reason why the LAF should be the ones to intervene there, even alone if you please.
Mostaqbal doesn't want that, they want Arsal to remain takfiri infested haven.
Don't deny ISIS and Nusra presence now, it's known to even the smallest child in Lebanon.

Thumb Mystic 25 May 2015, 20:20

You people are not answering honestly, I believe you actually want Arsal to remain a takfiri stronghold, because you want them to take over Lebanon later and free you from the "evil hezb" am I right?

This is something we all know here, that Hariri remains Wahabi under the disguise of "moderate muslim."
Which is why I come to this conclusion, if the army fails to get the go ahead from the corrupted March 14.
Then the people and Resistance will take care of it themselves, you can mark my words.

Thumb Mystic 25 May 2015, 20:41

Try to be frank atleast texas, you've claimed many times that you are against ISIS and Nusra.
So why are you trying to disguise them as Anti-Assad/Hezb elements?

These are people that ravage and kill everything, doesn't matter who you are.
The Resistance can easily make Arsal into another Yabroud, but the only way to make us all agree is to let the LAF do the job, under the full backing of the Lebanese State.

If you really are against ISIS and Nusra, and wishes Lebanon to be free of them, then you will let the LAF do their job, and secure Lebanon once and for all, since you are the ones that always swears they are our only protectors.

Thumb Mystic 25 May 2015, 21:30

Okay, so it is official. That is all I wanted to know texas, March 14 officially backs Al Nusra and ISIS presence in Lebanon and they will do nothing to stop it, they will also continue to hold the LAF in chained.

Now I am not going to waste my time any further. We shall see soon enough what happens to your takfiri safe havens. It shall be handled without the March 14 "blessings".

Missing peace 25 May 2015, 21:45

funny miss tic... his last post in response to the 1 truth clearly shows that he reads what he wants to read even if the 1 truth never said that M14 is backing isis nusra....

it shows how blind he is and how closed his mind is as it bugs if what he reads does not fit his binary brain....

NO the LAF will not be dragged by hezbollah/assad evil schemes like it or not. you are trying since the beginning to drag the lebanese army into syria to back assad and justify hezbollah's NON obedience to the disassociation policy... now reap what you sowed...

the LAF will defend Lebanon and does not need you hypocrits....
