Al-Rahi: We Pray for Election of President to Breathe Life into Constitutional Institutions

W460

Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi hoped on Sunday for an end to the presidential vacuum in the country that began in May 2014.

He said: “We pray for the election of a head of state to revitalize constitutional institutions.”

He made his plea during a sermon at Annaya marking the 50th anniversary of the beatification of Saint Charbel.

The patriarch made his plea to the saint to enlighten politicians to end the vacuum crippling Lebanon's highest Christian post.

Al-Rahi also called for political solutions to regional conflicts, hoping for the safe return of refugees to their homeland.

Ongoing disputes between the rival March 8 and 14 camps have been thwarting the election of a president.

Numerous presidential election sessions have been scheduled, the majority of which were not convened due to a lack of quorum at parliament caused by a boycott of Hizbullah's Loyalty to the Resistance and MP Michel Aoun's Change and Reform blocs.

The solution is for the batrak is for him to back the Christian group with the biggest parliamentary representation by far as a rule. This is how the other sects do it. This time it's General Aoun. Next time it might be Geagea or Butrous Harb

YOU could shave off few MP's that came to him as a gift for his doggy-style obedience to his masters - the iranian funded militia...

Having 37 MP's is not meaningful. You must look at the competencies of the candidate, his capacities, his mental equilibrium, his integrity and honesty, his political views and programs.

your general is a liar, corrupt, dishonest, zero trust, mentally ill, and above all an agent to Iran and a servile servant to Ebola whose objectives are to create an Islamic Republic.
