Roma Players Refused Entry to Indonesia, no Reason Given

Five Roma players have been denied entry to Indonesia during the club's preseason tour and have been forced to fly back to Italy.

The squad traveled from Australia, where it had played friendlies against Real Madrid and Manchester City, and was in Indonesia on Saturday for its final stop on a preseason tour.

The players — Seydou Doumbia and Gervinho from Ivory Coast, Victor Ibarbo from Colombia, Antonio Sanabria from Paraguay and Adem Ljajic from Serbia — were refused entry on Friday night and later boarded a flight to Italy.

No reason was given for the refused entry.

Roma chief executive Italo Zanzi said on the club website that "it's real disappointment for us, given that we've made a substantial effort to be here."

Instead of standing by their players and all of them refusing to enter Indonesia, I presume that all they saw were $ signs in their eyes from the income of their upcoming game there. How disgusting

Not true. It's only a worthless friendly game that they will miss. The main purpose of it is to collect more $$$. Playing against Indonisia all stars won't make them more prepared for the upcoming season anyway...
