Change and Reform Condemns 'Usurpation of Voice of Aoun's Supporters'
Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun will adopt an “escalatory” approach should the current “political practices persist,” announced former Minister Salim Jreissati.
He said after the bloc's weekly meeting: “We reject the usurpation of the voice of the people who support Aoun.”
Free Patriotic Movement supporters staged a rally on Sunday to back Aoun and to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the events of October 13, 1990.
Jreissati reiterated the proposal of Aoun for the election of a president through the people, adding: “This initiative is now in the hands of the public.”
“We should stop meddling with our constitution and with the rights of the people,” he demanded.
“No state institution can be established without the voice of the people,” he stressed.
In addition, Jreissati revealed that Change and Reform MPs will take part in next Tuesday's election of new members of parliamentary committees.
Lebanon has been without a president since May 2014 when the term of Michel Suleiman ended without the election of a successor.
Ongoing disputes between the rival March 8 and 14 camps over a compromise candidate have thwarted the polls.

Interesting to say the least. Aoun considers the parliament illegal yet he will participate in the elections of parliamentary committees and some of his own MPs will head some of these "illegal" committees!

Typical to "condemn" "oppose" "obstruct". It is all this party knows to do. This is what they are paid to do by Hezbollah and Iran. And the coup d gras, he said "We should stop meddling with our constitution..." The one that does not provide for the direct election of the President, and then demanded the direct election of the President.

My God, for all the disbelief I saw and this coming from these clowns at the FPM, they haven't changed one bit. They cause the problems then they accuse their opponents of doing it. If they had one ounce of dignity, just one single ounce of dignity, they'd understand that burying their heads underground doesn't mean that their butts are open wide and clear for all to see. The gathering of this past Sunday is ample testimony of the failing health of the FPM, topographic trigonometry has revealed that not even 3000 people made it to this gathering, and this from all over Lebanon!!! The abject behavior of the FPM is causing its fall and the slide is not over yet.

Here they go again... more demagoguery, more threats, more wining... they only keep barking in order to try and keep together the few thousands of their fans that are disowning them by huge numbers... they still have one goal and one goal only, place Aoun on the chair.
Aoun's history is a collection of failures. Every war he has launched, every "escalation" he has enforced only led to failure. He divided the Christians, he divided the Lebanese, he has destroyed this country with his stupid wars... who still follows this person?? Seriously!?
