Fatfat: Salam Made Bold Proposal on Garbage Crisis

W460

Mustaqbal bloc MP Ahmed Fatfat revealed that Prime Minister Tammam Salam had made a “bold proposal” to end the country's ongoing garbage disposal crisis, reported al-Joumhouria newspaper on Tuesday.

He told the daily: “The premier was asked to adopt the current trash plan and resort to the army and security forces to implement it.”

“He said however that this step is out of the question until real government partnership is achieved,” added the MP.

Real partnership is accomplished when all parties of government attend sessions “not simply to record their attendance, but to offer proposals,” continued Fatfat.

“How is it that we can have a landfill for the northern region of Akkar and not one for the Bekaa, South, and Mount Lebanon?” he wondered.

Lebanon has been suffering from a trash disposal crisis since July with the closure of the Naameh landfill.

Politicians have failed to find an alternative to the landfill, resulting in the pile up of garbage on the streets of the country.

The heavy rain on Sunday brought with it flooded streets coupled with waste, as experts warned of the health and environmental impact of the crisis.

your turn.

I didnt mention prices, I said "indeed syria offered to treat and dispose of our trash" and I provided the link showing exactly that.

Now you said "Do you dare declare what was the price/Ton Assad regime offered? Or are you trying to hide the fact that his offer price far exceed the ones Lebanese companies offered (which are ridiculously expansive already)."
Where is your link? Enough turning around the pot, either you have it and you give it to us now, or you don't and admit you're talking BS straight out of your rear.

Thumb _mowaten_ 27 October 2015, 18:53

You are a liar, because the talks never even got to a priced offer with Syria. Your imaginary blog "that-you-read-but-are-unable-to-share" trick is worthy of a kindergarten. What a pathetic farce you are.
