Hizbullah and Mustaqbal Urge Parties to 'Communicate to Find Solutions'

Hizbullah and al-Mustaqbal Movement stressed during their 34th dialogue session on Tuesday the need for “communication” among the various political parties.

“The conferees discussed the deep crisis that the three constitutional institutions are suffering from, its impact on stability in the country and means to overcome it, especially after the suspension of national dialogue,” said a joint statement issued by the two parties after their bilateral talks in Ain el-Tineh.

“They stressed the need for communication among the various parties in order to find solutions,” the statement added.

Hizbullah has recently showed solidarity with its main Christian ally the Free Patriotic Movement by boycotting a cabinet session that was held in the absence of FPM's ministers.

The FPM, which has the biggest Christian bloc in parliament, has suspended its participation in cabinet sessions and national dialogue meetings over accusations that other parties in the country are not respecting the National Pact.

The 1943 National Pact is an unwritten agreement that set the foundations of modern Lebanon as a multi-confessional state based on Christian-Muslim partnership.

Lebanon has been without a president since the term of Michel Suleiman ended in May 2014 and Hizbullah, FPM founder MP Michel Aoun's Change and Reform bloc and some of their allies have been boycotting the parliament's electoral sessions, stripping them of the needed quorum.

Al-Mustaqbal Movement leader ex-PM Saad Hariri, who is close to Saudi Arabia, launched an initiative in late 2015 to nominate Marada Movement chief MP Suleiman Franjieh for the presidency but his proposal was met with reservations from the country's main Christian parties as well as Hizbullah.

The supporters of Aoun's presidential bid argue that he is more eligible than Franjieh to become president due to the size of his parliamentary bloc and his bigger influence in the Christian community.

Mustaqbal has become as dangerous as Hezbollah is to this country. Their weakness, indecisiveness, and lackadaisical attitude towards existential matters resulted in the disintegration of the State of Lebanon.

New leadership is required.

this "liberty" is an Usa's embassy employee who dedicates his miserable time inciting, just like his own country which doesn't want peaceful Syria but supporting the terrorists and even training more of them in order to keep the conflict alive...so, get lost.

@liberty
You have my total support. Those who bow to traitors end up by surrendering with no courage.

@terrorist
Let them have their own Shi3istan and live the iranian model. Let them go to war in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Zimbabwe...and all over the world. Destroy Israel and be destroyed by Israel. They can do what they like. I will not be part of that and will not live with them. I want to live with all who do not want to live with them. They will have their North Korea and we will have our peace, justice, education, sovereignty, and prosperity.

Good bye for good.
