Drug-Making Material from Turkey Seized at Tripoli Port

Customs authorities at Tripoli Port on Friday seized 96 barrels filled with drug-manufacturing substances, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
The shipment was hidden in two secret compartments in two trucks that arrived from Turkey, the statement added.
“It turned out that the owners of the two trucks are Lebanese citizens,” it said.
“They were arrested and referred to the relevant judicial authorities as the material was confiscated,” the statement added.
