Two Wounded in Attack on Palestinian Security Force in Ain el-Hilweh
Palestinian activist Asef Moussa and another activist from the al-Badawi family were wounded Sunday in an attack on the Joint Palestinian Security Force in the Ain el-Hilweh refugee camp, state-run National News Agency reported.
The camp's al-Fawqani street witnessed heavy gunfire and the hurling of a hand grenade when an armed group attacked the guards of the JPSF outside the Martyr Saeed al-Youssef Hall, NNA said.
The attack was followed by sniper gunfire on the al-Fawqani street and the vegetable market area.
The agency added that the camp is currently witnessing a state of tension and a deployment by members of the powerful Fatah Movement in the Jabal al-Halib area.
