Raad: We Will Stand by the Lebanese Army
MP Mohammed Raad, the head of Hizbullah's Loyalty to Resistance bloc, vowed Monday that Hizbullah will stand by the Lebanese army in its expected battle against the jihadist Islamic State group.
“We will stand next to the army, in front of it and behind it, so that the country triumphs in this battle. We don't care about our position in the battle, what's important is the country's victory,” Raad said.
Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had on Friday announced that his group and the Syrian army are ready to assist the Lebanese army in its anticipated offensive in order to “lower the casualty toll” among Lebanese troops.
According to Nasrallah, the Lebanese army will decide when to launch the offensive and "from the other side the Syrian army and Hizbullah are ready."
Nasrallah said if the battle against IS is launched from both Syrian and Lebanese territory "that will lead to victory and be less costly for everyone."
Addressing IS directly, he said: "The Lebanese and Syrians will come at you from all sides."
There was no immediate comment from the Lebanese army.
Nasrallah said that IS holds around 296 square kilometers on both sides of the border, of which 141 sq km are in eastern Lebanon.
His Shiite movement is a key ally of the Syrian government of President Bashar al-Assad and has been battling alongside regime forces since the onset of the conflict in 2011.
Nasrallah's remarks came a day after nearly 8,000 Syrian refugees and jihadists from al-Qaida's former Syrian branch were bused back to Syria from a Lebanese border region following a ceasefire deal with Hizbullah.

Boyfriend The Mystic you are right Hajj Mohammed Raad is dreamy, but I'm not jealous. I wonder if he got his military costume back from Hajj Hussein Hajj Hassan. It looked so big on him you could have fitted three Hajj Hajj Hassans, one Hajj Fadlallah and half a Fayyad in it.

Hizb will do everything it can to hurt the Lebanese army and keeping it weak as no respectable country will accept a militia funded and armed by brutal nations unless given no choice. Hizb long standing strategy is to back stab the army and instigate a confrontation between Israel and the Lebanese army just like in 2006... the more death the more destruction the better Hizb aim is served... all using Aoun as a cover-up while Hizb leads Lebanon to isolation and economic ruin, gradually swallowing the country and its institutions, and sacrificing our freedom and democracy to the benefit of the Iranian's Bazij and their regional ambitions. Our sovereignty, democracy, independence are taken hostage by Hizb's force of arm.

get your information corrected. Even by hezbollah propaganda machine estimates there were thousands of Nusra fighters and a few hundreds ISIS fighters. So, In reality there should be less than 100 ISIS fighters.

Second, read what I wrote again. If you did not understand I will repeat. Hezbollah has always claimed the number of Nusra fighters was much higher than ISIS fighters in Ras Baalbek. They started their estimates 2 years ago around 15-20 thousand nusra fighters. They revised their estimated a few months ago to around 3,000 fighters. Reality turned out to be they were around 200. Every hired and paid military analyst on manar was saying there were thousands of nusra fighters in Arsal battle and that ISIS has much less in Baalbek.
It is obvious you do not live in Lebanon and have no clue what is being put out by the propaganda war machine of hezbollah.
