Geagea Criticizes Nasrallah's Remarks on Gas Dispute with Israel
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Tuesday criticized Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's latest remarks on Lebanon's gas dispute with Israel.
“Yesterday, we heard in one of the speeches that the only strength that we can rely on is the resistance... This means that the State would cease to exist,” Geagea warned.
Nasrallah had on Friday underlined that "the only force that the Lebanese have is the resistance."
"If Israel threatens you, you can threaten it. If the Americans come tell you that you have to deal with them to hold Israel back, then tell the Americans: respond to our demands so we hold Hizbullah back from Israel," he said, addressing Lebanese officials.
And in Hizbullah's strongest warning to Israel since the beginning of the gas row, Nasrallah threatened that “should the Higher Defense Council decide that Israel's offshore oil installations should cease to operate,” Hizbullah “can disable them within hours.”
Lebanon this month signed its first contract to drill for oil and gas in a pair of offshore zones, including one that Israel says belongs to it.
Hizbullah clashed with Israel in a month-long war in 2006 and is currently fighting alongside President Bashar al-Assad's forces in neighboring Syria.
Dactor Geagea has earned my respect and captured my imagination for many reasons chief among them:
1) Vehemently opposing proportional representation
2) Vehemently supporting proportional representation
3) Having reservations on the Policy Statement
4) Having No Hostility towards Hezbollah
5) Abiding by the 3 No-No's Rule
6) Supporting a Made-In-Lebanon President elected by an illegitimate Parliament
7) Supporting a Strong State without the presence of 'Illegitimate Armed Groups'
8) His love for Algebra and Equations
and
9) Assuring us the Cedar Revolution is well and alive
Thanks to the DOJ investigation into Russian meddling into US elections, it is clear how intelligence agencies work. The above commentators are probably all Israeli bots. Their job is to sow discord in Lebanon.
neither Iran nor Assad "regime" are the enemies of Lebanon but only Israel.... you see how confuse you are!
that's what happens when you live for so long under hezbollah controlled state. Any criticism of a useless politician becomes 'sowing' discord and one is labeled an israeli agent/bot/3ameel.
everybody notice how you always spew sectarian comments, that means you're explicitly admitting that you're a troll a mossad one.
@praktiotic
you seem an awfully nice guy; I just hope you are not sectarian.

s.o.s' numbers are conservative. Most drug dealers are shia; most kidnappers if not all are shia; most thugs if not all are shia; most israeli spies if not all are shia; most car thieves if not all are shia. Stating facts that incriminate your sect ' is not sectarian but 'calling a spade a spade'.
If you don't like it, close the door behind you on your way out!
Besides the concerns that Geagea is voicing here, its a huge mistake by Nasralleh to use this rethoric. No oil company would fancy working in this hostile environment.
"Laugh out loud!" Aka, LOL.
You are a joke.
Shiisim at its most shameless!
