Prime Minister Saad Hariri expressed sadness over the fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral in France that he described as a "heritage and humanitarian disaster."

Hariri added in a tweet late Monday that Lebanon expresses strong solidarity with the "friendly French people."

Monday's fire collapsed the spire and burned through the roof of the 12th-century building, sparking an outpouring grief and reminiscing of visits to the Parisian landmark.

The French president has said he would seek help from the "greatest talents" in the world to rebuild Notre Dame, and many governments said they were considering contributions to what would be a significant architectural undertaking.

What Riad Salameh does with his own money is none of the FPM's business. Especially not after how Michel Aoun and Gebran Bassil, to name just their ex and current presidents, got their millions from the public dime through embezzling, kickbacks and corruption. Both latter day multi millionaires were broke before they got access to the public's purse. BTW Salameh is Maronite, remember, he was considered for the presidency. He might still be. Which is one of two reasons he's having to endure the wrath of the FPM's defamation machine.
