The U.N. atomic agency said Tuesday that a high-ranking visit to Iran will take place on February 20-21, beginning a day earlier than had been announced.

"An IAEA statement on 1 February 2012 stated that agency officials would hold a further meeting with Iran in Tehran on 21-22 February," the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency said in a communiqué.

"Unfortunately these dates were incorrect; the meetings are in fact scheduled for 20-21 February."

The visit, following three days of talks in Tehran from January 29-31 which diplomats said achieved little, is aimed at clearing up what the IAEA calls "all outstanding substantive issues" surrounding Iran's nuclear program.

A November report from the IAEA raised suspicions Iran had done work on developing nuclear weapons -- something which Tehran denies -- leading to increased pressure on the country from Washington and the European Union.
