The U.S. has confirmed that Lebanon is included in a deal with Iran, announced late Thursday by President Donald Trump, pro-Hezbollah al-Akhbar newspaper reported Friday.

According to the daily, the U.S. informed Iran that Lebanon is included in the deal. It also reported that Trump has spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu three times regarding Lebanon, emphasizing that ending the war requires more than a simple ceasefire—it must include a total halt to military actions, an end to demolitions, a prisoner release, and a scheduled, rapid Israeli withdrawal.

Trump on Thursday announced a "great settlement" with Iran to end the Middle East war, saying he expected a deal to be signed in Europe in the coming days.

"We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, saying that they would "subject to finalization of documents, which should get done, over the next few days, probably have a signing, maybe in Europe."

Israeli media said Netanyahu told Trump that Israel must not become the "victim" of the emerging U.S.-Iran agreement.
