Hezbollah to defend Ali al-Taher by all means, MP says
Hezbollah will defend Ali al-Taher against Israel by all means possible and will not relinquish the strategic hill, Hezbollah MP Hassan Ezzeddine vowed Tuesday, adding that the group welcomes any Iranian assistance.
Ezzeddine said Iran has established the Dahieh deterrence equation and could do the same in Ali al-Taher.
He criticized the "shameful and humiliating" framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel and threatened to take to the streets when the right time comes.
Ezzeddine said Hezbollah has good relations with Turkey and that Turkey is leading an initiative to reconcile the group with the new Syrian regime.

How normal <sarc /> that any resident of a modern nation can compel the country to military adventure against a neighboring country in opposition to the wishes of the representative officials and executive head of a duly elected government. What a glorious achievement from the imported Islamic Revolution that was first imposed on the Iranians and has since been exported to Lebanon.

In any other country a member of parliament coming out with a statement like that against his own government would soon find himself behind bars accused of treason or at least working for a foreign government. Unfortunately here in Lebanon pro-Hizballah MP's can get away with anything and everything.
