Phalange: Suspicious Tackling of Electricity Crisis Raises Questions over Future Handling of Oil File

The Phalange Party condemned on Monday the government’s handling of the electricity crisis in Lebanon, saying that it demonstrated that the concerned sides “showed a complete disregard for laws and international standards in dealing with the decision to lease power-generating vessels.”

It said after its weekly politburo meeting: “The suspicious handling of the crisis raises questions on how trustworthy these sides are in tackling the petroleum file.”

“We have also witnessed the lack of responsibility of the officials in the energy sector when it comes to handling the crisis because their personal gain comes into play in completing contracts with specialized international companies,” it continued.

Furthermore, the politburo highlighted the environmental threats posed by leasing power-generating ships, explaining that the anchoring of ships along the shore over a long period of time will negatively impact the environment.

“The Phalange Party will not hesitate in following up on this issue,” it stressed.

Addressing the Syrian crisis, the party warned of the possible repercussions the unrest may have on Lebanon.

It therefore called on the political authority and the army to take “strict measures” to protect Lebanon’s border and security of its people.

The party also announced that the party has formed consultative committees tasked with visiting various political allies in preparation for the 2013 parliamentary elections.

Red Diesel was all Mikati and Harriri, the court decision said FPM was innocent so basta with this.
3.9G is working perfectly thank you, it's giving much more more revenues to the state and much better service to the users.
DSl is faster and cheaper thanks to FPM,(MArwan Hmedeh, had given exclusivity to his son, Sehnaoui took it back and created the open space)
Cellular bills are much lower thanks to FPM
Celmentine contracts (millions of dollars) any proof, or just allegations, what about the Pikasso groupe contracts, no news about that
Workers (local and foreign) have much more rights thanks to FPM
so if you really wan't to stay blind it's ur right but don't expect the Lebanese people to be like u

What’s really sad with M14 is that they send accusations with no facts even the Kateyeb who are probably the ones I respect the most among all Harriri allies. What is wrong with the electricity plan? if you have a different opinion please say it if you have facts and figures show'em but stop singing the same empty head song again and again
