St. George Hospital University Medical Center to Inaugurate Roof Helipad Thursday

The Saint George Hospital University Medical Center in Beriut’s Ashrafiyeh neighborhood is expected to inaugurate on Thursday a helipad on the roof of the building during a ceremony sponsored by Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Beirut Elias Audeh.

The inauguration will take place at 11:00 a.m. and will include medical maneuvers by the Lebanese airforce and members of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, in cooperation with medical and technical teams from the hospital.

The ceremony will be attended by Greek Ambassador to Lebanon Catherine Boura, UNIFIL representatives, members of the St. George Hospital University Medical Center Board of Directors, hospital director Salam al-Rayyes, and a number of medical center and university officials.

A good step in the right direction. If everything in Lebanon could be handled by the private sector. They could do wonders. Enough with the useless public sector employees who are appointed by milithias gangs.
