Child Killed by Lightening Strike in Akkar

A boy was killed on Sunday by a lightening strike in the northern region of Akkar, reported the National News Agency.

It said that Omar Ali al-Sheikh, 12, was struck by lightening and killed in the region of Ain Tanta in Dreib, Akkar.

His brother Bakr, 14, was critically wounded in the incident.

He has since been transported to Rahhal Hospital for treatment.

Lightning strikes towards the ground due to it's positive charged seeking minus. A child is only about a meter from earth thus not a very good grounding. A tree or building is prefered.

Who cares if its a bullet or lightning ,these poor parents lost a their child ,god bless his soul ..

@shab: before you impose yourself as an expert on something, read a thing or two about your subject.
Lightning tends to strike the tallest thing in its vicinity, which apparently was the unfortunate child.
