Fifteen people, including Lebanese soldiers, were wounded in traffic accidents in the eastern Bekaa Valley and in northern Lebanon's Akkar district, the state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The Bekaa accident happened when a refrigerated truck carrying a license plate from a Gulf country hit four vehicles at the Deir Zanoun intersection on the main Bar Elias-Masnaa road, injuring a Lebanese man and nine Syrians, NNA said.

The ten men were taken to hospitals in the region, the agency added.

Also Wednesday, five army troops were wounded when their vehicle flipped over at the intersection of the town of al-Kweikhat in Akkar.

Lebanon witnessed a stormy weather in the weekend that left four people dead and 24 injured in around 19 traffic accidents.
