Shiaism is a seperate religion that is based on the teachings of not only islam but also zoroastrism, distorted history turned in to religious practises, and many other factors. As an example, in Islam, the greatest sin is to call upon anyone other than God, yet shiites consider it halal to use Ahlulbayt as a medium to reach God, and this is the greatest sin of all sins in Islam.

To call upon a passed away person, statue, the sun, moon, prophet or anyone or anything else, besides God yet they will find a million excuses to why its legal when its specificly condemnded in the quran which solves the case in a crystal clear matter, but the quran is only of importance to shiites when they can distort its meanings when arguing with Muslims. Other than that, the core belief in shiaism is the belief in imamah where they claim that after prophethood ended God decided to send imams appointed by God himself to continue the work of prophets, these imams are like prophets in shiaism, except they have a diffirent name. Another thing they believe is that one of those imams (al mahdi) has been missing for a thousand years but has managed to remain alive all that time and is hidden only to appear at the right time. Clearly such ideas are alien to Islam.

These are only some diffirences that are so great that they cant be part of Islam which preaches the opposite of these ideas. Moreover, you will often find shiites trying to justify their ideas by using a quranic verse that has nothing to do with the point they are trying to make. As an example, there is verse in the quran about prophet jacob (pbuh) and how he was sad about his son josef (pbuh) so they use his sadness to "proove" its ok to beat oneself when mourning hussein (RA) on ashura. In short, shiaism is a religion of itself and some of its branches are 12.er jafaris (the largest one who believe in whats stated above), alawites (who believe in incarnation and the divinity of Ali), 5.ers (whos beliefs are the closest to Islam) and some other branches.

The druze religion originates from elements of shiaism before it became seperate but they dont claim to be muslim therefor there is no "beef" with them. That is why i respect druze, they have their belief that originstes from shiaism and these belief are clearly diffirent than Islam so they dont call it Islam nor do they refer to themselves as Muslims cuz its common sence. If shiites stopped using the name Muslim then nobody would have a problem with them as they are free to believe in whatever they want, as are everyone, just dont claim that your beliefs are Islam when its not. And no i am not salafi, wahhabi or anything else like that.
