Two grenades were found on Friday in Bab al-Jihad stadium in the neighborhood of Bab al-Tabbaneh in the northern port city of Tripoli, the state-run National News Agency reported.
A military expert arrived swiftly at the scene and defused the two grenades, the news agency said.
Earlier, Voice of Lebanon radio reported that the army arrested a man suspected of tossing hand grenades in Bab al-Tabbaneh.
The northern city has witnessed on Thursday tension in the Baqqar area after a scuffle broke out between pro- and anti-Syrian President Bashar Assad regime supporters.
The rival men began tossing stones at each other and one man was stabbed.
In the mean time, Faysal Karami's convoy was attacked in Tripoli and 4 of his bodyguards injured but no article about it on naharnet...
It's not even in the breaking news, which is dedicated to the death of an ex-Rhodesian soldier (they call him a french journalist) in syria..
who said they were muslims? maybe they are but i see no reason for you to point at any religion out of the blue. except maybe that you're a sectarian hater.
