Hand Grenade Creates Security Scare at Chtaura Restaurant

Security forces defused at dawn Thursday a hand grenade found at the restroom of a restaurant in the eastern town of Chtaura, the National News Agency reported.

NNA said that the KFC branch received a call to its delivery call center informing the staff about the grenade.

The employees immediately informed police that removed the grenade which was not set to explode, NNA added.

In another related development, suspicion fell on a Mitsubishi parked near the Husseiniya of the town of al-Labweh near the eastern city of Baalbek, Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3) reported.

But security forces inspected the vehicle which turned out not to be containing any explosives, the radio station said.
