Al-Jadeed television on Friday announced that gunmen stole its Satellite News Gathering vehicle in the northen city of Tripoli.

In June 2012, gunmen attacked al-Jadeed’s headquarters in the Beirut neighborhood of Wata el-Msaytbeh, opening fire on the building, hurling Molotov bombs and setting fire to tires.

Tripoli has been the scene of near-daily unrest since the Syrian uprising began two years ago. Gunmen torched several Syria-bound fuel tankers on Thursday and Friday as an Energa rifle-fired grenade landed between the rival districts of Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen.

In January 2011, frenzied demonstrators torched an Al-Jazeera van in Tripoli while protesting the toppling of Saad Hariri's government.

We can not allow one outlaw give justification to opposing outlaws. Deal swiftly with both.... all should be disarmed and subjected to same civil laws as unarmed civilians. Hurry time is running out. We are heading to the point of no return I am afraid.

Shame on Hezbollah for ruining the country by showing the WRONG example, not only to the country, but to the entire region and world.

FT by letting HA do what ever it likes it has become very difficult for the authorities to enforce law on the opposing party. See what happened in Arsal and what is going on in Saida. How would the authorities disarm the people in bab el tebbaneh and let the others in jabal mohsen untouched. People will just go bezerk and it will be chaos big scale.

No rudes, it is rather like allowing a mom to fornicate because the dad fornicates all the time. Laws and rules must be applied to all equally if they are to applied at all.

Sadly parts of Tripoli has under the control of the mob and the state is seen as incapable or bias as Hezbollah areas do not get policed.

What is funny is how Hezb supporters do not see how one can not have priviliges that are deniedd to others. It simply results in resentment at first then escalated to subordination, revolt and finally violence. Ask the Negros of the USA how they felt before they acquired their equal rights. Ask the people of Syria or any disctastorship. Ask the people of the USSR during days of communism. Equal liberty and equal justice is the foundation for a stable and progressive nation.
