Report: Van Passengers Stabbed in Sin el-Fil

Around 25 people riding a van in the area of Jisr al-Wati in Sin el-Fil were attacked with knives on Wednesday by several assailants, the state-run National News Agency reported.

NNA said that the passengers, who included Lebanese, Palestinians and Syrians, were heading to a studio to participate in a TV show when they were intercepted by eight assailants riding two vehicles.

The suspects then stabbed nine of them, it said, and escaped towards the area of al-Adlieh and from there to Beirut's southern suburbs.

The agency had earlier reported that Iranian television staff were assaulted.

NNA said the crew were in two vans on a job mission in Jisr al-Wati where Souk al-Ahad is located when the unknown assailants stabbed them.

But the Iranian embassy denied that any of its nationals was assaulted.

You seem to know the road from anywhere to Dahyé by heart :)

There is a quicker way from Sin-el-Fil though going through Chevrolet and taking the new dahieh bridge.

I live in Sin-el-Fil and the trafic you mention is not as bad as you say it is. At least not a this time of day.

Zadig : 100% right

However, how can you proceed with any investigations if you cannot "question" the lead suspects ? If HA keeps hiding or eliminating suspects related to the tens of cases, and against which much evidence has been amassed ? The fact that they are hiding the suspects alone is a strong sign that they are guilty.

If they are innocent, then they should have no problem answering a few questions and demonstrating that the evidence against them is either false or non-conclusive.

Hiding their criminals will not make the case "go away", will not make the people forget and will certainly not make them innocent.

Mowaten however believes that Nassrallah and Aoun are angels sent to liberate lebanon from criminals and that they cannot therefore be guilty of anything. They are the new untouchable, divine prophets and if you attack them, you must be a Sunni, Israel Loving, Salafi, Takfiri terrorist ...

Justice will prevail and prove you wrong Mowaten !

Eye for an eye, the religious blood revenge continues. Has anyone ever wondered who's side God's really on? I mean yeah Shia and Sunni both pray to God, but did you ever wonder? or is the God card just an excuse to kill one another.

Nothing to do with "God"... This is only to do with sectarian hatred! Haram how low the Lebanese are! Poor, uneducated, ignorant sheep! How far are we from our racist view that Lebanese are better than the educated others etc, the desert dwelling, camel riders are better than us!

Thumb ado.australia 26 June 2013, 20:19

Zadig, yes racism exists everywhere even Australia. Australia was very racist but i have never felt afraid or discrimainated as a lebanese. These "lebos" that john oliver was talking about are about the australian dislike of the tripoli lebanese in western sydney that have refused to assimulate into australian society.

Even still, with all this "racism" in Australia, we never here of beheading or killing or eating hearts of those that are not of the same sect or religion from these "racist Australians"!

This is ridiculously confusing. State run news agency? Iranian news crew heading to a studio? The people that belonged to this group could be identified as Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian? Two vans that can fit 25 people, and 9 of them were stabbed?
So let me get this straight, there were 4 cars total, 25 in two vans and then 8 in two cars...25 v 8, 8 were able to intercept, halt the vans and attack all at once? None of the 8 members were injured? And they escaped towards the southern suburbs, with reports claiming the injured members belonged to an Iranian news crew, but the embassy denies hearing of any injured nationals. What is happening here?

Democracy, freedom of speech and freedom of press, the Hizb-Iran-and-Syria way, more like. You should change your avatar to that of the Iranian flag, because you are obviously no mowaten Libnéné.
