Nadim Gemayel's Website Hacked after Row with Activists

The website of Phalange MP Nadim Gemayel was hacked on Sunday and a video showing the clash between his bodyguards and activists was posted on it.

A statement appeared under the video addressing Gemayel. “Lock out your dogs,” it said.

On Friday, Gemayel said his convoy was attacked by angry protesters opposed to the extension of the parliament's term.

“While passing through the neighborhood of Ashrafiyeh, a crowd of angry people groundlessly attacked my convoy with sticks, stones and tomatoes,” he said, estimating the crowd to be NGO Nasawiya activists.

But Nasawiya, a feminist collective, slammed on Saturday the lawmaker, saying his bodyguards attacked the activists in a “militia-like act.”

The NGO also accused Gemayel in its statement of playing the role of the victim.

Potato Nadim must be furious over this breach especially after posting many delicious potato recipes on his website, such as batata puree, batata me2liyeh, batata chips, kafta wa batata, batata maftouteh bel sayniyeh and yakhnet batata.

He was passing by an FPM neighbourhood or something....

People are so tense lately.... I'm glad I'm not in Lebanon.... Stress isn't good.

I never knew that one man with a gun is considered a militia! It's so lame how such a small thing can turn into something so big while at the same time our troops are dying every day from terrorist and real militia men! I don't see Nadim in any clip or picture or whatever has been posted so i don't really understand why so much people are attacking him in this manner while he has done so much good for achrafieh residents. One of his bodyguards acted inappropriatly, I am fine with that, bring him to justice and instead of blocking peaceful roads i dare you to go block roads in Sidon or Tripoli! I dream of the day that the lebanese people would wake up and start a revolution but this, this is just maskhara!

It is not the first incident.

It is sad that to see those that we are supposed to view as role models and honest MP's are the ones getting in trouble like that, and always blaming their body guards, e.g. also MP Moukheiber when "his bodyguard/chauffeur" parked in the handicapped spot.

This kid should not be an MP. Because his dad made a name for himself, it does not mean he inherits ... When will we vote decent, qualified, hard working people? Sheesh

Shocking! These protesters are sad cases and have nothing better to do and are misinformed and brainwashed by the pro Iran camp. If a MP especially a Christian one that represents your area drives in a street you don't get in front of him like an idiot then go cry about it. Grow up. Nadim dont worry about them. If it was me I would have shot a few bullets in the air and let them run away like the fools that they are.

I wish that all of our problems were at this level. Lebanon would have been such an ideal place.

We have a long list of politicians first.... Which dates back to feb 14 2005. The judicial system has to work chronologically.

We need to educate people, that's how we'll get rid of the scum in the majliss el nouèb.

Educated people aren't going to wear nylon slippers and slaughter people because they're from a different sect.
Educated people won't elect thieves and keep them forever.

It's a global problem.....
