Meet MySOUK: An Online Shop For All Lebanese Shops

Based in the Middle East, MySOUK.com is a design-driven marketplace where local & independent designers set up shop & promote their brands to the world. Their concept is to help designers, artists & brands establish a presence online by offering them a personalized, easy-to-manage space, through which they can promote their trademarks and expose their products.

Their vision, derived from their eagerness to expand creativity beyond borders, is to become the region’s ultimate gathering point for talent, creativity, & design.

MySOUK sells online space in return for a rental fee. The model is to charge an affordable subscription fee that allows sellers to create and manage their own store on MySOUK, and a humble 10% fee upon order, which aims to cover all costs related to processing orders.

MySOUK’s target sellers are local & independent designers and artists. Currently all the sellers are based in Lebanon but they will gradually look to expand their community and attract talent from different parts of the world. Sellers may include: fashion designers, jewelry designers, art makers as well as home decorators.

When asked about the idea behind MySOUK, Theo Ohanessian, one of the 4 Co- Founders noted: “Similar to all business ideas, MySOUK is a response to an apparent market need: Designers and artists in the Arab world have limited access to efficient promotional means, which expose their brands to regional & global markets”.

“We aim to cut straight through that problem and provide a new & attractive solution for local brands looking to expand their reach beyond borders” added Ghassan Mabsout, also a Co-Founder at MySouk. The other Co-Founders are Mira Mabsout as well as Karl Bachian, all working passionately on their new startup!

Compared to other platforms, MySOUK gives sellers more room to express themselves & showcase their individuality. Aside from a product catalogue to display products, sellers are offered a fully personalized storefront where they can introduce themselves & showcase their brand by uploading photos, a video & a short story..
