Al-Saadi Gadhafi Denies Interpol Allegations

Moammar Gadhafi's son, al-Saadi, denied allegations of corruption and intimidation and called Interpol's decision to put him on the equivalent of its most-wanted list political, according to an email sent Sunday.

Al-Saadi Gadhafi is under house arrest in Libyan neighbor Niger, where he fled after Tripoli fell to revolutionary forces. His father and two of his brothers are in hiding, presumably inside Libya, as fighting between revolutionary forces and Gadhafi's loyalists continues on three fronts.

Report: NATO Concerned over '10,000 Lost Missiles' in Libya

At least 10,000 missiles are unaccounted for in Libya, a senior NATO official has admitted according to a German media report on Sunday, amid fears the weapons could fall into the hands of al-Qaida.

News weekly Der Spiegel reported on its website that Admiral Giampaolo di Paola, who chairs the committee of NATO military chiefs, held a secret briefing for German MPs on Monday, in which he expressed the alliance's concerns.

Chavez Backs his 'Brothers' Gadhafi, Assad Against ‘Yankees’

Venezuela's firebrand President Hugo Chavez on Saturday reiterated his support for ousted Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi and embattled Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, calling them "brothers."

"I ask God for the life of our brother Gadhafi... No one knows where Gadhafi is, I think he went to the desert," Chavez told official television VTV.

NTC: Gadhafi Spokesman Captured Outside Sirte

Moammar Gadhafi's spokesman Moussa Ibrahim was captured on Thursday outside of the former Libyan strongman's hometown of Sirte, field commanders from the new regime told Agence France Presse.

"Misrata fighters contacted us and gave us the information that Moussa Ibrahim has been captured," said Mustafa bin Dardef, of the National Transitional Council's Zintan Brigade.

Interpol Issues Arrest Notice for Saadi Gadhafi

World police body Interpol issued an arrest notice Thursday for fallen Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's son Saadi for alleged crimes during his time as head of the country's football federation.

The new Libyan authorities requested the notice against Saadi, believed to be in Niger, "for allegedly misappropriating properties through force and armed intimidation when he headed the Libyan Football Federation," Interpol said in a statement.

Libya 'Issues Summons' for Gadhafi's Ex-PM

Libya has issued a summons for Moammar Gadhafi's former prime minister Baghdadi al-Mahmudi, who fled the country for neighboring Tunisia, the interim justice minister said Wednesday.

"The prosecutor general has issued a summons for former Prime Minister Baghdadi al-Mahmudi," the minister, Mohammed al-Alagi, told a news conference in Tripoli.

NTC Senior Commander Killed in Bani Walid

Anti-Gadhafi fighters Wednesday appealed for help from NATO after being blasted by rockets fired by loyalist troops in Bani Walid, one of the ousted Libyan leader's last bastions.

Among 11 National Transitional Council fighters killed in the barrage was senior commander Daou al-Salhine al-Jadak, whose car was struck by a rocket as he headed towards the front late on Tuesday, NTC chief negotiator Abdullah Kenshil told Agence France Presse.

Jumblat Returns from Libya with $25 Million Oil Deal

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat has struck a 25-million-dollar oil deal with the leaders of Libya's new ruling National Transitional Council (NTC), Ad-Diyar daily reported Wednesday.

Tunisian Court Frees Ex-Libyan PM

A judicial official says Libya's ex-prime minister has been freed from jail after an appeals court overturned his conviction for illegally entering Tunisia.

Al-Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi was arrested Sept. 22 on charges of illegal entry after he was found without a visa as he was trying to flee across the border to Algeria. He was convicted the same day to six months in prison.
