Saudi, Pakistani Beheaded in Kingdom's latest Executions

Saudi Arabia on Tuesday beheaded a Pakistani convicted of drug trafficking and one of its own citizens for murder, the interior ministry said.

Saudi Bandar Khalaf al-Enzi was found guilty of strangling a man to death during a dispute, the ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Arab foreign ministers in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday as he bids for a broad coalition against the Islamic State, a senior Egyptian foreign ministry official said.

The talks in the Saudi port city of Jeddah, which will continue into Thursday, will be attended by ministers from Egypt, Jordan and the six Gulf Arab states as well as Iraq, the official told Agence France Presse.

The study by the London-based small-arms research organization Conflict Armament Research documented weapons seized by Kurdish forces from militants in Iraq and Syria over a 10-day period in July.

Minister: New Bahrain-Saudi Causeway to Cost $5 bn

A second causeway linking Bahrain with Saudi Arabia and providing a route for a regional railway network being built by Gulf monarchies will cost about $5 billion, a minister said.

"The cost of the causeway will be roughly $5 billion (3.9 billion euros)," Bahrain's Transport Minister Kamal bin Ahmed told Agence France Presse on the sidelines of a two-day business conference, adding that it will be "part of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) railway network."

Army Detains Six Lebanese, Syrians in Ras Baalbek

The Lebanese army detained three Lebanese national and three Syrians in a pickup truck in the Ras Baalbek region in the eastern Bekaa and seized in their possession illegal material.

“An army unit arrested at 3:00 pm on Sunday three Lebanese nationals and three Syrians and seized in their possession 109 detonators, reels, igniters and fuses, in addition to six bags containing chemical substance,” the army said in a communique issued overnight Monday.
