Electricite du Liban contract workers blocked roads across Lebanon after security forces arrested several of their colleagues during a protest that turned violent in the southern city of Tyre.

Four people were wounded on Thursday when part of an under construction bridge collapsed in the southern region of Tyre, reported MTV.

Three soldiers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon were injured on Saturday after their military vehicle overturned in the southern Tyre District, the state-run National News Agency reported.
