لبناني يقتل زوجته في شقة في سيدني

أقدم لبناني مقيم في سيدني على قتل زوجته في شقة في منطقة بانكستاون، من خلال ضربها بعصا على رأسها، وفق ما أفادته الصحف الاسترالية.
ووجهت الشرطة في سيدني التهم الى اللبناني جورج طنوس، البالغ من العمر 55 عاما، بسبب اقدامه على قتل زوجته مارغريت، البالغة 47 عاما، ليل الاثنين في منطقة بانكستاون في شقة.
ولفتت المعلومات الى ان الشقة تقع في الشارع نفسه الذي تقع فيه بناية الشرطة.
وأوضحت أن المسعفين نقلوا الامرأة الى المستشفى وهي مصابة بجروح بالغة في الرأس، رجحت أنها ناتجة عن تعرّضها للضرب بواسطة عصا، الا انها ما لبثت ان فارقت الحياة.
وبعد الحادثة توارى طنوس عن الانظار الا انه عاد وسلم نفسه للشرطة، التي رفضت إخلاء سبيله مقابل دفع كفالة.
يُشار الى ان مارغريت هي أم لولدين، ولم تعرف حتى الساعة الأسباب التي حملت طنوس على قتلها.

as for women abuse, it is the lowest form of cowardice and evilness, men like this should be put to death. but nobody can say it is due to lebanese culture, it sadly happens everywhere in the world. in france for instance, a woman dies from conjugal violence every 3 days.

It is sad to hear about tragedies caused by family violence. What is happening to the Lebanese culture and family structure is a reflection of what is happening to us politically and economically. I pray for a reverse in direction soon.
