"حماسة فرنسية-سعودية" للتمديد لسليمان و"سعي اميركي" لرئيس جديد

برز في الآونة الأخيرة، تأييد فرنسا والسعودية لمسألة تمديد ولاية رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان في حين تسعى الادارة الاميركية الى انتخاب رئيس جديد للبنان، وفق ما أفادت التقارير الصحافية، الثلاثاء.
فقد لفتت معلومات صحيفة "السفير"، الى ان تعتبر ان "الوضع الانتقالي الراهن في لبنان والمنطقة والعالم، قد لا يسمح باجراء انتخابات رئاسة الجمهورية نظرا لصعوبة التفاهم بين الاطراف الدولية والاقليمية والمحلية على مرشح توافقي واحد".
وتتابع ان باريس ترى انه طالما هناك قرار "دولي ـ اقليمي بتحييد الساحة اللبنانية، فان ذلك يحتم الحفاظ على موقع رئاسة الجمهورية عبر التمديد للرئيس الحالي ميشال سليمان".
يشار الى أن ولاية سليمان تنتهي في أيار 2014، وحتى الآن تشير العوامل الى عدم الوضوح إزاء مصير الرئاسة الأولى، خاصة في ظل رفض سليمان التمديد لولايته.
الى ذلك، لفتت "السفير" الى ان "الحماسة" السعودية-الفرنسية للتمديد لسليمان، تُرجِمَت من خلال الهبة السعودية للجيش اللبناني، التي "يأمل الفرنسيون أن يستطيع سليمان استثمارها لسنة أو سنتين على الأكثر".
يُذكر أن سليمان اعلن في كانون الاول الفائت، أن السعودية قررت تقديم مساعدات عسكرية الى الجيش اللبناني بقيمة ثلاثة مليارات دولار على ان يتم شراؤها من فرنسا. وتعهد الرئيس الفرنسي فرنسوا هولاند آنذاك بـ"تلبية" طلبات تسليح الجيش اللبناني لدعم سليمان.
الا ان "السفير" أشارت الى ان واشنطن ترى ان الاسباب الفرنسية للتمديد "غير مقنعة" وهي تفضل انتخاب رئيس جديد.
ونقلت الصحيفة عن ديبلوماسي لبناني ان الادارة الأميركية تقوم بغربلة الأسماء المحتملة لتولي منصب رئاسة الجمهورية، متوقعاً أن يكون الملف الرئاسي اللبناني مطروحا على جدول أعمال قمة الرئيس الاميركي باراك أوباما والملك السعودي عبدالله بن عبد العزيز في الرياض في نهاية الأسبوع الحالي.
وتبعاً للصحيفة فإن أكثر من عاصمة معنية بالملف اللبناني، قررت ارسال "ضباطها الديبلوماسيين الى بيروت، وبينهم ديبلوماسي أميركي وصل الى بيروت مؤخرا، بمهمة محددة، هي متابعة الملف الرئاسي".
وتوقعت ان يقتدي بهم الفرنسيون الذين كلفوا مجموعة ديبلوماسية بمتابعة الملف اللبناني، وفق "السفير"، أبرز رموزها مستشار الشؤون الخارجية والشرق الاوسط ايمانويل بون والمستشار جان اورتاز والسفير السابق في لبنان دوني بييتون.

And also, at the end of the day, it would take one command from DC to Riyadh to initiate such a sit down between rebels and the "terror party". It is that simple, so if it were true, it would have happened or it would happen as soon as they desire it to happen. Basically, the US, through Riyadh, controls these rebel parties in Syria.

There's simply no way the opposition can win, and no way military force can avoid bringing islamist terrorists/qaida/nusra/isis/IF/etc to power. Dialog always brings more fruition and stability than military strategy in the long run, and with obama now favoring stability and democracy than kingships and dictatorships, is using his post as the president of the usa to do something productive instead of bombing the place to smithereens. You should be happy if you live in lebanon for this.

So far, I know one thing, old man Aoun will never see the presidency, and Hezbollah will be deprived of its most reliable ready-made-rubber-stamp. It is now getting more and more probable that President Suleiman will see his term extended. In the light of a complete breakup of our system, it will be very wise indeed to keep the one decent man to head this nation, for without him, the nation will be like a ship sailing blind in the dead of night.
