Of a Safe Haven in Lebanon for Syrian refugees. This is why I oppose Hezbollah's creation of a safe haven for Sympathizers of the Assad regime in Dahyieh and the Bekaa. Hezbollah's actions in this regard is a blatant violation of Lebanese national sovereignty.
So, to have Hezbollah complain about the McCain comment and to further comment that Sen. McCain treats Lebanon like a Banana Republic" is galling and ironic. Who, more than
Hezbollah, has done more to denigrate Lebanese sovereignty and to turn Lebanon into a Banana Republic?

Well the Palestinians in lebanon are not from the westbank and gaza, they are from other parts of palestine and they would love to go back but they cant. Likewise, we syrian refugees would love to go back to syria as well. No refugee wants to stay in lebanon so relax and stop making refugees sound like glue that refuse to go back home, as if its possible to go back right now. When lebanese fled to syria in 2006, nobody said such racist things about you, even though many crimes were comitted by lebanese refugees.

McCain described Jumblat as a friend and a great leader, saying their relation survived despite tough circumstances.

i think jumblatt would make a great president for Lebanon now but he can't for reasons we all know why. Yet we have people want to change the election law so they can bring in the guys they want and lead us closer to the baathist regimes and the mullah of persia. U think proportionality is a great thing then abolish the sectarian system in all government posts and then go from there.

Jumblat is no better than the other low-lives who incessantly sub-serve all of Lebanon's enemies be they Israel and its masters or the Syrian occupation or the filthy Arab potentates. Once a low life always a low life.

Right winger McCain said the Arab Spring will spread to the entire world, including Russia and China. But he should have included USA and EUROPE who are more likely candidates for an Arab Spring than China and Russia because of their terrible economic situation. In fact the Arab spring has already started in European countries such as Greece and Spain.
