أكد رئيس الحكومة نجيب ميقاتي أنه "لم يعد هناك تساهل بالنسبة للموضوع الأمني بأي شكل من الأشكال"، مردفاً أن " الجيش والقوى الامنية سيكونون بالمرصاد".
واشار ميقاتي عقب لقائه رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري السبت في عين التينة، الى أنه "قد شاهدنا الجمعة كيف جرت الامور بعد قرارات مجلس الدفاع الاعلى، ولم يعد هناك تساهل في هذا الموضوع بأي شكل من الاشكال".
وأضاف "لقد اعطينا فترة معينة واعتبرنا ان كل امر يحل بهدوء وروية، ولكن الظاهر ان البعض يرغب في استجرار الفتنة الى "لبنان، وهذا الشيء ممنوع نهائيا وخط احمر"، مؤكداً أنه "لهذا السبب سيكون الجيش والقوى الامنية بالمرصاد لكل أمر".
وأشار وزير الداخلية مروان شربل الجمعة، بعد الاجتماع الإستثنائي لمجلس الأمن المركزي في صيدا الجمعة، الى أن"المسؤولين عن عمليات الخطف معروفين ولا يحظون بأي تغطية حزبية أو عشائرية"، مضيفاً أن "هناك 54 موقوفاً في سجن رومية في عمليات الخطف و87 شخصاً لم نقبض عليهم حتى الآن".
وإذ رأى شربل أن "عمليات الخطف تؤثر على السياحة والإقتصاد في لبنان"، أردف أننا "نعيش في وضع أمني صعب له تداعيات على كافة الأنحاء اللبنانية".
ولفت الى أنه "من الضروري تنفيذ القانون على كافة الأراضي اللبنانية"، مؤكداً أنه "بات الحل الأسهل لمشاكلنا في لبنان هو السلاح، بينما يجب أن يكون بالحوار".
وشدد شربل على أنه" لا ينتمي لأي فئة حزبية بل إنه بخدمة كل المواطنين"، داعياً " لانعقاد مجلس نواب من أجل البحث بالوضع الأمني واتخاذ التدابير اللازمة ومن الضروري ترك خلافات الجميع جانباً".
وأصدرت مديرية المخابرات في الجيش اللبناني قبل ظهر الأربعاء، بياناً أعلنت فيه انها "أحبطت عمليتي خطف، الأولى تستهدف المغترب علي الصباح، والثانية تستهدف نجل أحد أصحاب الأفران من آل المير في طرابلس والمطالبة بفدية قدرها مليون دولار. وقد أوقفت المديرية المتهمين موسى حرب وزياد الجمل".
كذلك أعلنت شعبة العلاقات العامة في قوى الأمن الداخلي عن إجراءات مماثلة شملت عدداً من الخاطفين في صور وبيروت.
وشجب المجلس الأعلى للدفاع الذي عقد صباح الأربعاء في قصر بعبدا برئاسة رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان عمليات الخطف المتكررة مقابل فدية مالية في لبنان.
كما اطلع المجتمعون على التدابير التي يقوم بها وزير الداخلية في ما خص عمليات الخطف لقاء فدية.

2- Forbid the so call sheikhs to carry weapons.
3- take all the light weapons of private parties in lebanon including HA. keep the long distance missiles with HA.
4- Put in jail all those cheikhs that are brainwashing our youth in mosqs.
5- Speed up trial of islamists. Let the judges take their responsability and rule instead of waiting for the next judge to take over.
6- Dont pay the February salaries of the nonworking professors. What kind of example is this mob giving our children?

all weapons should be either destroyed or given to the army.
you can't jail brainwashing Sheikhs if they didn't break the law. it'll make of them martyrs.
Finally, anyone has the right to protest, it's called democracy but they shouldn't get paid by the state, that's for sure.

Banana. Hezbollah need their toy. one day they will wisen up, realize israel is into economic growth, gas exploration, hedge funds, internet startups, and not into mosquito Hezbollah. That day, Hezbollah will wisen up and give up all their weapons. Sorry for being cynical, but it makes me laugh when our politicians say: "this is a red light!" as if they were actually capable of doing something about it! Or worse, as if all other issues they fail to fix are not so important for them. Good governance means you do all your strategic planning in advance so that you don't have to reach the red line. When you actually see a red line coming it's already too late to do something about it!

Which security ya mikati? stop spreading stupidity, the country is lawless, salafists wahhabis, iranian worshippers, and more than before sectarian maronites, and scared druzes. The country is divided into thousand of pieces, it is worse than during the civil war. Forget it , u did nothing but achieve ur dream of beeing prime minister and holding onto" ur position" because at the end of the day, you have no influence whatsoever. This is the problem in lebanon, power hungry politicians will do anything to stay in power and they know they are worthless and all is talk.
